Indians of /ck/, how did I do?
>>
>>22161223
Is that all black rice? Typically you just use a small amount to color white rice.
>>
>>22161300
I’ve never seen or heard this, and I can’t think of a reason you wouldn’t just go full black rice. This particular one is ‘riceberry’. Black rice cooks differently than white rice too, so… make them separately and mix them together? Sounds silly.
>>
>>22161223
Whats in the sauce?
>>
>>22161348
Tomato, butter, spices (primarily turmeric and some shitty garam masala I refuse to throw away), garlic, ginger, greek yogurt.

And there is paneer floating around in there too.

>so… make them separately and mix them together?
Yup. I'm pardesi as fuck but my wife is Indian and she does multi rice dishes exactly like that. She parcooks different rices individually, combines them and steams them to finish for guests. Most she'll do on a regular night is tempered rice (cook plain rice, dump boiling hot ghee with spices and aromatics roasted in there on the rice and stirred throughout) but we mostly have it plain. Tempered rice goes with kebabs, though. Anything saucy/goopy generally gets plain rice and/or roti.

Is that peanut butter and jelly?

I’ve noticed that curry is a very sauce heavy dish. Like if you were making BBQ chicken you’d just use enough to coat it, maybe some extra on the side to dip. curry is always a few bite sized pieces of chicken in a great lake of sauce. It looks like a chowder lol

>curry is a very sauce heavy dish
Not necessarily. Depends on the style. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57GMXirkW9Q

looks good, how did it taste?
>>
>>22161883
Breddy gud, homegrown cilantro really clinched it

I'm not Indian but I am a Bong and we love curries, this looks like a Korma to me and looking at your ingredients here: >>22161363
add some ground almonds(powder) and you could get away with it.

The test is in the taste though and I have no idea about that, the rice is a bit off - stick to plain white or wholegrain(if you must). The coriander is a nice touch but change the rice.

Oh great heavens!
>>
>>22161223
How's the black rice, OP?
>>
>>22162052
Belligerent and criminal.
>>
>>22162006
>bong recommends plain white rice
lmao, bongland is so fucked
>>
>>22161223
Where's the diarrhea?
>>
>>22161223
Looks like a nice balanced portion, the rice appears firm and should heat up with the curry nicely, especially if you like to mix everything.

How’s the weather in Canada
>>
>>22162397
Wouldn't know. Colder than where I live, I would guess. How's the weather in Dumbfuckistan?
>>
>>22161223
Indians are disgusting and so is their food.
>>
>>22162877
Idk. >>22161880 looks pretty fucking tasty, bitch.
>>
>>22162390

IMRAN KHAN SHALL DESTROY YOU BLOODY BASTARD!
>>
>>22162125
but the bong is right, with a korma you just need plain rice or at most a pilau
>>
>>22163810
>immersion blender
Yes indeed. I’m not sure why more people don’t have them, it’s not like it’s an expensive piece of equipment.
