>>22162716It can be made well
>>22162716https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE3ufg-6qOA
>>22162716looks like 57 sauce, good choice
>>22162716meatloaf is just meatballs but couldn't be bothered to ball
>>22162716Never had meatloaf but what is actually wrong with it? Seems like soft anti-white racism to me
>>22162723seems loud to me
>>22162720oh I ball, just in all other facets of life
the only reason I would ever make meatloaf is to immediately put it in the fridge and have meatloaf sandwiches for the next few days
>>22162736that's a perfectly respectable reason. you putting anything on that 'loaf'wich or just keeping it pure bread/loaf/bread?
>>22162736it’s already infused with bread and it’s literally a loaf, so surely you don’t mean you’re putting it between 2 slices of bread?
>>22162716OP eatin boomer zoomer meatloaf
>>22162723it has no cheese in it. Crispy meatloaf with cheese in it is god-tier. I still haven't learned how to properly make one ... it's on my to-do list.
>>22162740Yum
>>22162736You don't even need to reheat it. A cold meatloaf sandwich is one of the best sandwiches in the world
>>22162716Fuck yes it does. Get this wisdom.
>>22162748savage!
>>22162720I feel like meatloaf is harder to make than meatballs to be hontoni
>>22162781it's good!
Meatloaf is good. Stop being a picky eater.
>>22162795It's weird because I always thought of meatloaf as food perfectly suited to picky eaters. It's not challenging, it's just moist seasoned beef mince. Don't picky eaters like simple stuff like meatballs and meatloaf and börger patties? Meatloaf stands up just fine imho
Dont be a bitch. Im 35 and 100% mexican and i love that weird white thing hahahhahahhahahaa
>>22162799If you dont eat something you are a picky eater. Therefore if you dont eat meatloaf you are a picky eater. Meatloaf got your grandma through the depression and you think youre somehow better than her?
>>22162801If people could afford beef during the depression than these day are really fucked up. I managed to buy a house but I haven't purchased beef in like 3 years
>>22162801But I love meatloaf I am an avid meatloaf poster I was just saying I don't think picky eaters dislike it is all
>>22162716How much is a squirt of mustard for the sauce?
>>22162740Meatloaf doesnt HAVE to have bread in it, thats just what people did when times where tough and they had to stretch the meal out. When i make meatloaf i dont usually use any bread, not even breadcrumbs. >>22162736You dont enjoy it fresh hot out of the oven? Dont get me wrong i love meatloaf sandwiches but its great fresh too >>22162748Mayo and mustard, good choice! I sometimes like to throw on a bit of lettuce and onion if ive got them. Maybe some cheese too.
>>22162857Man I wish i had fresh onyo or lettuce for that but I didn't. Would have been better †bqh
>>22162723the problem is it can often be made very bland and topped with ketchup. A proper meatloaf is very good.I like to use a molasses and honey based glaze
>>22162924>topped with ketchupBBQ sauce is the way to go
>>22162867Do not worry anon, the onyo will always be at the store for you
>>22162924>>22162949Ketchup imo only works as a glaze if it is mixed in with something, like bbq sauce or honey or mayo etc etc etc. Otherwise i agree, it is very bland. I dont really like ketchup anyway so im biased
>>22162774>just cover it in bacon>omit the photo where we remove 3/4 cup of bacon greaseThis is the only reason I hated the "wrap everything in bacon" infographs. I cook 2 bacons and 2 eggs nearly daily, and I still end up with grease to remove from the pan. If you put a pound of bacon, theres going to be at least half a pound of grease plus whatever the beef puts out. Then on top of that meatloaf has ground pork in it. Like dude, its going to be an oily mess.
>>22162716The enlightened soul know you never cook meatloaf in a tin. Wrapped in bacon and set on a trivet so the grease can drain is the way.
>>22163000>set on a trivetoh come on now how the fuck is that supposed to work in a normal household oven on a weekday, anon?
>>22162991Not if you use a roasting pan.
>>22162857>doesnt HAVE to have bread in ityeah but it’s supposed to. it improves the texture, a loaf of straight up ground beef would not be as pleasant to eat
>>22163026Do you mean broken up slices of bread or breadcrumbs? If its the former, thats not for me. If its the latter, breadcrumbs are ok but i find that throwing in some chopped up onions, carrots and mushrooms helps enhance the texture of the meatloaf without bread. An egg or two helps as well. Im not some keto retard, i like bread, but i just prefer my meatloaf without it.
>>22162740I always thought meatloaf sandwichiches would suck, then I made one to bring to work for lunch and was pretty good, I think I put jalapenos and mustard on it
>>22162716Don't let your meat loaf
>>22162719That's ketchup glaze. Do you even meatloaf?
>>22162723tv/film trope from the 80s.it's just normie jokes.
>>22162748why is your hand so small?
>>22162991>omit the photo where we remove 3/4 cup of bacon greasewho the fuck would ever care about this?
>>22163240hand is big, sandwich is ¥uge
>>22163056most load recipes I see use onion, breadcrumbs, and eggbreadcrumbs are either from stale or toasted bread that are chucked in a food processor until they're reduced to y'know, crumbs
>>22162806You can also make ground turkey or chicken meatloaf. There are even meatless meatloaf recipies. Almost anything can be turned into a loaf of some kind.
Bobby Flay has an excellent recipe for his interpretation of Korean meatloaf
>>22162716And your generation too, faggot. Everyone eats meatloaf.
>>22163225looks like 57 though
>>22163974Not even close
>>22162723at its best it's just a giant meatball for no reason. at its worst it's the worst way to use ground beef to make a meal larger than the amount of beef you actually had.
>>22164387looks like it through
>>22162716Mmmmm.
