>>22167675they taste like Chinese noodles, you can get them anywhere in China for like a dollar

Would rather eat this than the soy food.
I would post the Mix It Up energy drink ad from Cyberpunk but I don't know if it's too risque.

The food from Cloud Atlas Neo Seoul chapter
If you get into PKD, the plots with the most oppressive governments have people eating "frankenfoods" (e.g. modern day protein bars) and what he calls "ersatz coffee." So, soy shit, extracted protein shit, and chicory. I think the Ubik spray was also edible.
>>22168633Synthetic food is a cyberpunk trope though.
any civilian food that comes in one of those MRE retort pouches feels pretty dystopian
>>22168557It depends if you watch the American or European release
>>22167675Crack-O's Potato Chips, voted the UNN's national food product in the early 21st century, are made from slices of common potatoes deep fried in hydrogenated oils. This treat is often supplemented with vitamins to boost its questionable nutritional value.
>>22168557Those triangles could be pizza while the round ones could be tortillas. The scene can work for either brand.
>>22169356Failed business btw. Guess it just wasn't cool enough for people to want to eat cubes.
>>22167675Hong kong drunken noodles
>>22167675Is it just me or did it seem like he was just eating plain noodles? Whenever I see that scene it unironically takes me out of the movie
>>22172344it's just a prop, anon. it could also be cooked bean sprouts

Neo Kobe Pizza
>>22168691Which is in which's?
>>22168672Yeah, one that PKD helped to establish as characteristic of the genre. Ubik was written in 1969 and has the main character's front door badger him for money to get into his own apartment.
energy drinks taken to their conclusion.
>>22173433That apartment had coin operated furnishings. Even the kitchen sink.

>>22174447Cause you're about to get mind raped.
>>22174447>>22174512After extensive reading, the "fan consensus" is that the powdered white stuff is an advertising gimmick, the actual product is a food bar composed of synth-carbs, worm protein and amphetamines. It's intended to be a pre-work-out energy bar, or at least a parody of one.

>>22167675Happy Noodle, System Shock 2
>>22174608>This is stupid, because the drinks are drunk for the drinking sensation and flavorThat's why you choose one drink over another but it's not why you picked up an energy drink in the first place. There's a few energy drinks that I really like and it pisses me off that I can't find say, Monster White, in a non-caffeinated version that wouldn't keep me up all night and eradicate my hard-won sleep schedule.

>>22174608>>22174632I buy Caffeine-free Coke for this reason too, I can mix it with cheap whisk(e)y for an evening drink. In Europe, I keep an eye out for Cockta Free which is excellent for the same purpose.
>>22174819>Cockta freeHaven't seen that in years, and it also wasn't so good that I went looking for more. Might want to try Almdudler as well.
>>22175075Cockta is a slightly herbal cola (even though it has no cola nut), it's excellent with rakija and a dash of ouzo, over ice. What does Almdudler taste of?
>>22175154>What does Almdudler taste of?sugar
>>22175172Even the zuckerfrei?
>>22175172slightly herbal fizz
>>22175075>>22175154Cockta's amazing, reminds me of those frozen cola things
>>22175196>Cockta's amazing, reminds me of those frozen cola thingsThere's another cola in Europe that's worth trying if you get a chance. It's cola nut I think but the sweetener is stevia. All their drinks are stevia and a splash of fruit juice and some of them are really good. The sour cherry is pretty good and I think the lemonade is amazing.
Not food, but there are a number or Asian restaurants up and down the 95 corridor from NYC to Washington DC that have a dystopia feel. Been to more than one place where I was the only white person and half the customers were wearing sweat suits with dragons all over and covered in tattoos. I generally look and dress like an angry plumber, so I kind of fit in. Another place was a pho joint in some nameless dumpy suburb outside of DC. All the furniture was plastic, there were cheap LEDs everywhere and a huge TV with some kind of shitty Vietnamese pop music. The clientele was multiethnic poor and the food was surprisingly good.
>>22175422>casually eating when a tattooed man in a sweatsuit comes up and says something to you>chinese owner translates>”he say you brade prumma”How do you respond without looking angry?

>>22177395>2035 McDonald's will be selling lab grown matter reformed into a minimalist presentationThey're doing that in 2026 and have been for decades, it's just that currently the ingredients for the lab grown minimalist presentation are still derived from cows. The trajectory is very clear though.Burger King sells various forms of mock-meat burgers already so I'm sure McDonalds will get there eventually, probably once it becomes cheaper than organic meat.
