sure sure, and the Mexican beans taste like tamarind and dulce de leche. scientists should study this.

Geshas tastes like tea and flowers. Not really new.

it doesnt say tea and flowers. it says thai black milk tea and lemongrass

Tea
>Chrysanthemum and Lemongrass
Flower producing plants. Tea and flowers.
>>
>>22171331
lemongrass flavor doesnt refer to the flower it refers to the stalk. thai tea barely tastes like the tea, the flavors its referring to are primarily spices and condensed milk.

Yet again, doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.

i never said it was brewed with spices

>This coffee is co-fermented in tanks with yeast and coconut flavors for 144 hours. It is then dried in the cherry alongside lemon peels. The cup has intense tropical flavors and a vibrant citrus acidity.
thoughts?

>>22171359
They should have fermented with whole coconuts.
>>
>>22171370
yeah I'm suspicious that it says "coconut flavors"
>>
>>22171374
Pretty sure they grow a fuckload of coconut in Columbia as well. Could just be a more processed "ingredient" like a fresh puree+extra sugar to fuel the ferment. El Vergel was doing weird ferments back in 2018 so its not like they're trend chasing. I'd assume they know exactly what the fuck and why they're doing it by this point.
>>
>>22171380
this one actually is processed at El Vergel. i guess I'll give it a shot. I've never tried a coferment

Commercial batch brewers beat out manual pour overs most of the time. And the standard Grindmaster/Bunn/Curtis grinders use fantastic burrs. I'll admit that the brewers with carafe heaters ruin it compared to the ones that brew into airpots.

oh fuck
the coffee hittin
>>
>>22174978
That's probably because the only people who buy second hand bunns for home use are specifically doing so to get a cheap platform for those "endgame" 80mm burrs. That doesn't change the fact that the stock burrs on common commercial grinders outperform the vast majority of consumer grinders.
>>
>>22175039
They do it because stock bunn burrs are extremely fucking muddy brand new, dispute looking similar to Ditting Lab Sweets.
>>
>>22175056
Nobody buys a new bunn for bunnzilla conversions. And the burrs on used bunns have usually had literal tons of coffee run through them and need to be replaced anyway, and the bunn model SSPs are only $100 or so more than the stock burrs.
>>
>>22175090
Let me rephrase for a retard.
>The burrs are incredibly muddy brand new, with literal zero tons of coffee run through them.
>bunn model SSPs
Who's talking about shitty ssp bunns? You buy or get a spacer ring machined and put whatever 2hole 80mm burrs you want in.

>As the steaming coffee flows through the slits on the lid and cascades down the glass server in spirals, it resembles water flowing down a curved slide, spreading out like spring water trickling over rocks.

im done with padre, moved on to central coast coffee.
just did a small sample of coffees to see how good they are.
they have multiple panama geisha too, so if this selection is good enough ill buy some and let you know how it is.
it also seems they offer greens for all beans they are roasting, just say you want some and you can buy whatever which is great, so i can see myself buying a few kilos of what i like
i think im most looking forward to the boliva since i cant remember the last time i had beans from there, and i have natural/heirloom ethiopian decently often so its not really special or a treat.

>>
>tends to get more vibrant as it cools
more so than arabica i should clarify

>>22177533
>how's it taste?
well like i said im a bit early.
i basically had to do 2 aggressive blooms because there was so much gas.
and i feel like the gas still had an effect on the taste.
but as always very rich, nutty and smooth.
i dont expect its full flavour to present itself just yet.
and like you said this is lean, also because of how coarse it was ground and the fact im using sibarist fast, the contact time was super low.
i love just sitting with a big pot of robusta and sipping all afternoon though.

Best manual grinder. Some specialized ones may have the edge for espresso or filter but this one is excellent for all methods.
>>
>open up new coffee from a roaster i've never ordered from before
>immediately see a bunch of defective beans
>weigh out 15g for my pour over
>pull 15 defective beans out of the dose
>can still see a bunch of defective beans on just the top layer of the bag
Does this shit even still classify as speciality at this point? I'm going to see how many defective beans I pull out of this bag by the time I finish it and e-mail them about this
>>
>>22177767
>speciality
how much did you pay
and did it taste good?
>>
>>22177781
>how much did you pay
It came free with the grinder I bought from them and I don't see it on their website for sale
It's way too bitter but that's probably on me not getting the grind right

offloading shit onto customers and acting like they did you a favour
reflects poorly on their brand
>>
>>22177810

when can I get a kettle and server made out of aluminum glass?
>>
>>22177820
I'll see if the next two bags they send are of similar quality, when I bought the grinder they gave me a 3 month subscription for free but they haven't put their best foot forward with this bag, I've never seen so many defective beans in one bag
They also spelled the country of origin wrong on the info card that came with it which lmao

Coffee doesn't bring me any enjoyment anymore
Like other substances it only enhances your current mood even more
If anxious and upset I just get even more of a bad mood and triggered and on edge and think that everyone is retarded
It literally destroys my mood something horrendous
And a headache
It's fucking over lads

why dont you just calm down? perhaps with a nice cup of coffee?
>>
>>22178075
>why dont you just calm down?
Zero caffeine(+whatever other compounds fucking me up along with it) does that, less anxious
I can't calm down when life is a mess non stop and you have to deal with anxiety inducing things non stop and your mind is constantly racing to solve problems and trying to find a solution to your long term problem but nothing really amounts to anything either no clarity has been found so it's just back to frustration and feelings of failure

Go find some good decaf, my nigga.
>>
>>22178088
Still probably contain the bean toxins outside of caffeine that probably is bad too
