I give up trying to learn how to cook. I'm tired of putting in 10 times the effort just for it to turn out worse than if I threw something in the air fryer.
At some point you will get tired of the air fryer and start actually frying or pan roasting food again
>>22173039How retarded are you? Cooking is piss easy.
You can use multiple devices, imagine that.

>>22173061but mine doesn't have any flavor and sauce is too high in calories how to make good tasting food without getting fat
>>22173039Based linecookbrain
>>22173176All those guys in the picture love grilling, dumbass.
>>22173199Go to the gym or stop completely drenching food in sauce, you fat tub of lard. If sauce is what's making you fat, it's not the sauce that's making you fat, yknowwhatimsayin?
>>22173199are you salting your food adequately? are you using acidity in your food? are you using aromatics? are you using the maillard reaction? are you using fresh seasonings, and whole spices where appropriate?
>>22173199Most hot sauce is low/no calorie.
>>22173330yea but like gravy and butter it makes my veggies taste good broccoli tates awful without some
>>22173039Still better than eating out.
>>22173633it depends
>>22173199I genuinely don't understand how you can't cook passable food. Go watch YouTube videos and replicate what you see. It's not hard anon.
>>22174567they use thousands of fresh ingredients it's too expensive imo
Do these things still give you AIDS/Cancer etc?
>>22174687only if you're lazy about replacing the air
Pan frying a steak takes a bit of trial and error but obviously isn't some insurmountable task. Grilling a steak is so fucking simple anyone could do it first try.If you sous vide and then grill a steak it takes even less skill and turns out amazing every time as long as you follow a consistent recipe with regards to timing and temperature for its thickness.
>>22173199>how to make good tasting food without getting fatGetting fat is 99% the amount of food you eat, and 1% the type of food you eat and how much exercise you do.
>>22175133>what are geneticssometimes this board is very dumb
>>22175251
>>22175251genetics affect how the fat appears on you, like how some people blimp up right away but others will slowly grow a beer gut and look normal in clothes longer, they're still fat, I know because this is what happens to mepeople lose weight when exercising more because they keep eating the same standard american 3 meals a day and sugar drinks diet meant for farm laborers and factory workers but they manage to start beating CICO versus a sedentary fat fuck, if you're wholly sedentary you need a relatively very small amount of food and will probably feel hungry often, if you want to eat for entertainment you have to excercise
>>22175251Let's say you have extremely unfavorable genetics for gaining weight - you have very poor resting energy expenditure, weak adaptive thermogenesis, high mitochondrial efficiency, high digestive efficiency, fat favoring nutrient partitioning, high adipose expandability, and very high metabolic adaptation after gaining weight, basically the worst possible profile for gaining weight, which would be extremely uncommon to all simultaneously occur in the same person,You'd still in this case be able to not gain excess weight by controlling what you eat.
>>22175133While this is true, it is worth paying attention to caloric density too. A couple teaspoons of some sauces will have more calories than a whole cup of vegetables. Which do you think is going to make you more satisfied and have more nutrients? Do you think having a small, calorie intensive meal is going to feel better than having multiple lighter meals throughout the day, even if it's ultimately the same amount of daily calories? If you are trying to manage your weight you need to think about that.
>>22174642fresh produce isn't expensive at all. meat can be, for meat you should shop sales and deals and make use of your freezer. other than that, just build up a pantry of staple ingredients. you shouldn't be buying 1000 ingredients every time you cook because you will already have many of them, which are used in various recipes. also it's okay to substitute ingredients if you have to, you don't need to follow recipes to the letter. when you're watching videos, pay more attention to the techniques they're using instead of the specific ingredients. you can watch some fucker like Marco Pierre White or whoever, and he might be using gourmet ingredients that are out of your price range, but you can still learn a lot because of the techniques he's using.
