It came out stupidly good. Maybe the best pork I've ever had. The sauce just made the pork taste more intensely of pork rather than covering the flavor like a sugar vinegar bbq sauce would.I only have this picture of the meat I used for the stock, sadly. It was especially awesome because all the meat that was used was from my farm.

It's not really a requirement that eye contact be maintained but since the goal is to show off the pig, the competitor should never end up between the pig and the judge. Because judges move around, it is important that competitors keep the judge in their line of sight at all times. There are usually multiple pigs being evaluated by the same judge and you need to be sure the judge sees your pig from all angles, preferably just once. To accomplish all of this, watching the judge intently to know where his gaze is located at all times is important.The judge is in general looking at the pigs, not at the eyes of the competitors so saying they're maintaining eye contact with the judge is a bit misleading.
