Drinks do not classify as food. They are beverages
>>
Imagine if cinnamon toothpaste was the default instead of mint and "people" went around saying cinnamon doesn't belong in food because it tastes like toothpaste.

I will put whatever I want in food, as long as it doesn't make my life more unbearable than it already is, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

I remember a recipe from Townsends that's since been deleted or unlisted, and it was something like mint in a spiced cream sauce spread over toast (it was referred to as an open-face sandwich in the recipe iirc), and I remember it looked really good. Sadly I cannot find it anymore.

Sip and feast’s pasta alla siciliana recipe calls for a 1/4 cup of mint. I did so and it was legitimately turbo tasty, with the hint of mint delicately present in the background.

Wintergreen is for tobacco products

It’s spearmint or sweet mint, not peppermint. Any time a recipe calls for mint it usually means spearmint unless stated otherwise. Spearmint is much milder than peppermint.
