POV: you just said you don’t prefer maple syrup
I don't eat syrup because I'm an adult
>>22174592i don't even like pancakes, anon.i'm more into savory breakfast foods and not sweet.things i'll eat, but don't prefer:>pancakes>waffles>muffins>donutsthings i prefer:>bacon>eggs>hasbrowns>corned beef hash>biscuits
>>22174611I used to glaze my ham with a spiced maple syrup glaze. There is room for sweet in savory, but you sound purist.
>>22174619>you sound puristi might, but the reality is that i just don't like sweet things outside of actual fruit.i guess there's an exception for ice cream.but most baked goods i'm just not big on.
>>22174611>>pancakes>>waffles>>muffins>>donuts>>22174630>baked goodsI like these things but only when I make them at home and can reduce the sugar content. Most recipes seem to be able to have the sugar reduced by at least 25% without affecting texture and it makes them not sickeningly sweet. And some like pancakes can just have sugar entirely left out of the recipe. Premade versions are often packed with as much sugar as possible but it just leaves them tasting way too sweet.
>>22174592Correct, I prefer the "fake stuff"
>>22174592I put molasses on my pancakes
>>22174592I prefer the reductions i make.myswlf, usually from fruit out of my garden.
>>22174644this is true, but i still don't like them.i'd rather eat real food instead of concoctions.
>>22174630Thought so. Carry on savoryman.
>>22174679what makes biscuits more real than pancakes? they're almost the same thing.
Crust.
>>22174726biscuits taste better.
>>22174782do biscuits taste better because they have more butter?
>>22174782Subjective
For me, it's birch syrup
Are you sur-up or a seer-up kind of guy?
>>22174903I've never had it, but I have had birch juice (the stuff that gets made into syrup)Quite an interesting flavor, tastes like some sort of uncarbonated soda but natural
>>22174592>maple syrupToo canadian for Ron
>>22174919Sur, never seer
