This KFC gravy copycat recipe is legit.First attempt was overpowering because I used butter. But it was very close to KFC gravy. Second attempt that I did just now is very close to it, I used a neutral vegetable oil instead to make the roux.So what I'm getting from this recipe is that the main flavor profile in KFC gravy is black pepper. And this recipe differs significantly from other copycat recipes because instead of being made with just chicken bouillon, it's made with half chicken and half beef bouillon. If you decide to give this a try, don't add salt at all, and sprinkle in black pepper and onion powder and keep trying the gravy until it tastes just right. I also lowered the amount of ingredients used initially because the recipe makes too much gravy.https://youtu.be/WqFJ0LlJx3o?list=LL
why not copy a good gravy instead?
>>22175704I'm not posh, I like american slop.Next gravy to try replicating is popeye's.
It's not even a good gravy and quite frankly tastes like shit. Why would you want to replicate it?
>>22175704>>22175728woah woah fellasdick sucking thread is two doors down
>>22175742The outcome is at least something like a sauce instead of your fastfood trash.
>>22175700>half chicken half beefmakes sense because the OG gravy was described as a brown gravy, which would mean the inclusion of beef
>>22175700Half chicken half beef sounds interesting, did you use your gravy on taters and chicken?
>>22175917Just fries. Will try other things later.
>>22175700KFC gravy just tastes like the brown gravy mix you can buy at the store, and the potatoes are definitely instant.>>22175713I get the appeal though, I love some slop.
>>22175728I think it's trying to imitate the gravy when it was good
