42 gs of protein, 230 kcals, and it tastes like sweet, sweet choccy milk. Unfathomable before modern filtration technology. The only downside is Fairlife has a monopoly so they can charge $5 for one.

Imagine locking a moid in a tiny cell and only feeding him this slop.

Why are you worried about calories? are you a fat fucking ham hog that needs ozempic? why are you drinking protein shakes if youre a ham hog? TWO: It does not taste like "sweet Chocky" it tastes like chemical sweetener that makes me want to spit it up and immediately sends me into a hypoglycemic shock. Fuck this shit. Never buying it again.

You do that to yourself every day, tranny.

>42 gs of protein, 230 kcals
>Unfathomable before modern filtration technology
That's like 150g of chicken breast anon.

Also if you're actually lifting, these things are horrible value for the money. The only time these are used should be the "oh fuck I forgot to pack some whey" or such. You don't need 42g in a bottle like that for daily use if you aren't exercising.
>>
>>22178267
>horrible value for the money.
this basically. I might consider trying them if they go on sale. like a buy one/get one free
>>
>>22178272
We have them here in Asia for about 1.75-2 a bottle at Lawsons/711/Family mart. Problem with these pre mixed POWER PROTEIN things is that the whey(well it's basically that) settles to the bottom and becomes stuck. The protein also starts breaking down which is why you often don't mix whey until 5-15 minutes before consumption.

Again, it's good in a quick fix though I would question the actual protein quantity and quality of them. For 5 dollars you could probably go get some mexican breakfast burrito or premade sanwhich from a supermarket deli for around that and have 2-3x the protein + plethora of other nutrients. Alternatively, load up a chicken sandwhich before the gym and there you go for like <2 dollars.
>>
Fairlife has a monopoly on protein powder and milk? What are you talking about
>>
>>22178312
OP only shops at like 1 supermarket or gas station obviously IIRC it's a great lakes powerhouse
>>
>back when worked in office
>some fat pino who was going to get 'ripped' would bring shit like these into the office
>drink like 2-3 of them
>ripping ass all day
>didn't gym other than like once a week
>would always joke "heh getting ripped stinks" or some shit
>gained like 20lbs in a month
no idea why normies buy these things they make sense in a gym vending machine but that's it
>>
>>22178312
The other brands all taste like chalk.
>>
>>22178644
That's not a monopoly, besides those premade things just include sugar/sweetener.

Protip: if your protein powder tastes bad mix it with some whole milk and blend it
>>
>>22178215
>store brand ultramilk
>unflavored whey isolate
>chocolate powder of your choice
Mix the protein powder and chocolate beforehand for ease of use
will taste better and comes in at like a quarter the price per serving, if not less
>>
This stuff is unbelievably convenient

>>22178267
>everyone is a lazy fat fuck like me who thinks exercise is some obscure exotic thing no one does
Way to tell on yourself
>>
>>22178702
If I'm going to fuck around with a blender I might as well just cook chicken breast like a sperg, this point of this stuff is it's ready to go at all times with no prep work or planning
>but but but you should spend 5 hours every sunday planning out every meal for the next 7 days because you have no social life
ok?
>>
>>22178215
instead of dealing with mixing my own protein shakes i just pick one of these up at the bodega near my house after i work out and im picking up lunch there anyways. they're great.
>>
>>22178215
how much sugar? and i can just make a milk + whey/pea shake myself for a quarter of the cost lol
>>
>>22179974
ok i looked it up and there's no added sugar but they add artificial sweeteners so it will fuck your microbiome up if you consume it at all regularly
so yeah nah it's shit especially for the price

you dont really believe this stuff
modern food additives are some magic space age shit
>>22178215
i use sucralose and ace-k for low calorie sweet oatmeal and quark
>>

>you dont really believe this stuff
yes i do you lab chemical consuming freak
>Artificial sweeteners can significantly alter the composition, diversity, and function of the human gut microbiome, leading to microbial imbalance (dysbiosis) and potential changes in blood sugar metabolism.
>>22179391
everytime i make a shake i either put it in a shake bottle specifically for shakes and carry it around or take a large cup and mix it with a spoon
i add in creatine and chocolate whey isolate. tastes great. no blender needed

>Despite numerous studies exploring the effects of NNS on the gut microbiome, results remain conflicting. While some investigations report minimal or no significant changes in microbial composition, others demonstrate notable alterations. These inconsistencies are likely due, in part, to differences in study design—including variability in dosage, exposure duration, and the choice of experimental models (in vivo vs. in vitro).
its fucking nothing
>i add in creatine and chocolate whey isolate. tastes great.
you're not gonna believe what they add to flavored whey
>>
>>22179990
The thing is "good" protein powder isn't appreciably cheaper, to get a 44g dose of tara's whey is about $4, for a 42g bottle of meme milk it's about $4.25, yeah I guess if you add up all the protein I consume in a year it's $90 but that just isn't that big a deal to me
>>
>>22178625
Because they think ingesting the magic health foods will make them healthy.
>>
>>22178215
>Unfathomable before modern filtration technology
Wut? Filtration has nothing to do with it. Humans have been able to separate the whey from the milk as a natural process of fermentation. The first techniques for drying whey into a powder have existed literally since the 19th century. Whey protein concentrate has been sold since the 1970s. The only thing new here, literally the only thing, is the marketing. By the way, this is true of so much slop nowadays.
>>
>>22179990
Ok, now try blending your banana and raspberries in your shaker.
>>
>>22180920
It is not a whey isolate product.
>>

Anon I lift, most people out there I know who "go to the gym" mean they have a gym membership to use as an excuse to get away from the gf/wife/etc when they are acting crazy or on their period. I go 5 times a week mon-fri, bike to work, and generall just don't tell.

The point is, 42g of protein in a bottle like this is practically useless to anyone who isn't trying to hit the 1-1.25g protein per pound of body weight while keeping their caloric intake low. Most people are most likely exceeding the amount of protein they need for a their lifestyle.
