I figured out that if you get a veggie delight from Subway (cheese bread) and let it sit for a while (toasted with no cheese) and get ALL the toppings. Put some high quality cheese on it and simply reheat in an air fryer, cut into pieces, and now you have an amazing piece(s) of food. All this for like $9. It’s on par with a medium pizza from a high end pizza parlor. And of course you can manipulate the toppings to your liking.
>>22178365So I got to thinking. Well, what about sourdough bread, with some mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top, then heat, sprinkle some thawed veggies, then heat again, and then put some some good cheese on it and then heat again. It’s freaking amazing. I splashed some red wine vinegar and olive oil on it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Absolutely delicious. Any other recipes like these? Best wishes, and thanks in advance!

>>22178365My buddy and I used to go to this pizza place that had large pepperoni pizzas for $10. We'd then go to Subway and get a "salad" with all the extra toppings we wanted on the pizza. Then we'd get some string cheese to top it up with and end up with a pizza that would cost like $40 elsewhere for less than $20.

>>22178365>want ham and cheese croissant>know that le cafe will NOT grill it sufficiently (I like the cheese to be melted with slight crispiness)>buy it ungrilled, take it home and grill the shit out of it
>cooked vegetables on toasted bread covered with cheese is goodThat's all you had to do. You wasted your money at subway for bread and vegetables.
>>22178536were you and your buddy really convinced you were getting a “deal” with this “food hack” lol
I work a travel job and my employer reimburses me for food purchases. All my coworkers get expensive as shit restaurant food but I just go to the grocery store and buy groceries while staying at hotels with full kitchens so I can cook. I buy fresh stuff for the week I'm traveling and also buy extra non-perishables to take home with me and eat next to free for the time I'm at home. My expenses still comes out less than my coworkers dining out so my boss is fine with it.

>>22179406oh YEAH I used to do this at the hospital cafeteria all the time, they always had french fries and I'd load those up with salad bar toppings until someone at the register finally bitched at me about it
>>22179096It was if what you're looking for is a good pizza. But pizza is seldom a "good deal" in the relative sense compared to other food items.
>>22178536there is no way buying veggies from subway is cheaper than buying veggies at the store.
>>22179366cancer will stop you.
>>22179504Well that's a question of scale. I'm not going to buy an entire can of olives to put on one pizza. Nor am I going to get a whole box of mushrooms or bag of spinach or a whole onion etc. Go into subway and you can get a salad for like $5 and if they have a sandwich topping then you can ask for it in the salad for no extra charge. We worked together and we'd just slap all this up during our lunch break.

An easy way to separate grains of freshly cooked rice in order to make fried rice without it clumping up is to pour some kimchi juice into the rice and give it a good stir until there are no clumps left. I haven't tried with medium or short grain rice but it works with jasmine, and the taste blends well with the usual fried rice sauce ingredients in case you don't want kimchi tasting rice.
