What are some items you can prep in advance and freeze? The only thing I have done is beef and bean burritos, seal them in freezer safe ziplock bags, they hold up really well
I was considering doing a big batch of pork katsu, they are super easy and simple to make. Also considering doing chicken tenders. I know soups and stews hold up pretty well in the freezer.
>>22181309The best are tortillasJust grab a piece of flatbread, stack it with a great ragu and cheese, fold it, then wrap in tinfoil and freeze. You can reheat in a pan until the bread gets toasty and you have a 10/10 meal in 10 minutes
>>22181315>katsu>soups and stewsyep, was about to post the same thing pretty much. I also like to freeze stuffed pepper mix. sauces, like bolognese or pesto. pies and quiches, stuff like that. pulled pork. meatballs.

>>22181309I almost made this thread last week! I’ve also only done burritos, but I’m about to try chicken salad. I made a bunch of chicken breast, seasoned with just some S, P, and white wine vinegar. Shredded them, and then bagged them in the shape of one of my glass containers. They’ve been frozen for about a week, and i plan to take one out to thaw/defrost and see if i can make a quick chicken salad for the week. Will update
>>22181309Chicken, cheese, chipotle sauce.I make a huge batch on Sunday and have food whenever I don't feel like cooking.I season the chicken well and even add honey bbq sauce when cooking.
>>22181309Bread, bread dough, bread sticks, bread flour, bread bites, bread sheets, steakuns sandwiched between bread, panna cotta

>>22181309Bean and cheese are my favorite go to for frozen burritos with the really nice flour tortillas that any of the -bertos places use.But chicken and Fajita veggie ones seem to keep pretty good as well just add cheese/sauce/guac/sour cream after heating if you want it.

>>22182068I would try it no doubt but to call that the pinnacle of food is a bit much

>>22181309Meatballs. While I wouldn't freeze spaghetti you can easily cook it and store it in the fridge in a sealed bag for over a week, I made some sort of Vietnamese carmelized pork once that was good, I imagine it would have frozen well and then you'd just need some minute rice to put it on top of.Really the only thing I would tend not to freeze are noodles and rice or foods where you generally want parts to be different temperatures (like a cheeseburger).
>>22182144AbsolutelyI forgot about this but i used to do it all the time. I make breakfast sausage patties and freeze those too
