We are experiencing an influx of Canadian foods due to inflation. What is your favorite Canadian food? Mine is Lou's Pot Roast.

The british were Cocky to. That was until Big Badass George Washington unleashed the B-52s and Won the War

poutine is genuinely great in a very specific time frame. wait too long and the fries get soggy and the cheese curds get weird, don't wait long enough and every bite is a different temperature with strangely different textures.
but when it's good, it's really fucking good.

The british sunday roast is pretty much the same thing as the north american pot roast, innit?

ok trumptard

A British roast is cooked on a tray or roasting pan. A pot roast is cooked in a pot or Dutch Oven. British roast is dry, pot roast is wet. But otherwise the sides and sauces etc are the same

A "british sunday roast" is roasted meat, a "north american pot roast" is braised meat. They are different techniques.

Also, there is nothing inherently british about roasting meat and vegetables, and there is nothing inherently american about braising a chunk of beef.

Just before I moved away from the Quebec border, and moved to New Mexico I bought a ton of these packets. I can make my own gravy just fine, but powdered sloppa is great from time to time. Only big issue is, it's hard to find cheese curds here in New Mexico.you wouldn't think so, but surprisingly it is.

Only Canadian food I've ever tried was Kraft Dinner, which is just a knock off Mac n Cheese which Black former slaves in the US created. I honestly can't think of anything they ever invented. Poutine is a French invention and doner is a near and middle east staple.
