Is this just yet another sign that shit is getting worse?

Mcdonalds is bad value. I don't even consider going there as a thing that could be done. I go to braums or freddies for fast food burgers. If they had in in out here I would go there instead of freddies though
>>
>>22185528
Oh no how are mcds employees going to commit fraud and embezzlement now?!
>>
>>22185631
All of it is bad value today. Literally the only people that think an $18 big mac meal is worth it are people with more money than sense.

Move to a better state, I guess. That's $12.83 with tax, even with the SPLOST that's currently active here.
>>
>>22185640
At braums I get the 5 jr cheese burgers for $10 and they taste much better than mcdonalds. Then I split that with another person and it's $5 to eat. At freddies I get the patty melt on rye and the combo is $10 with a double burger, grilled onions, they're stupid ass potato chip fries, and a drink. My coworker actually asked me if I wanted to go to five guys the other day and I was like what the fuck no I don't need a $30 hamburger. But mcdonalds is both more expensive and worse than other fast food so I don't see the point of them.

Wow. You sure showed me. What a steal. Guess I should move to Alabama now.

Enjoy your mostly peaceful protests.

Everywhere that isn't the east coast has local chains. In the upper midwest I would be going to culvers, in arizona I went to in in out. Many such cases. In desperation if I'm in an absolute shithole like virginia or pennsylvania I will go to their version of carls jr which they call hardees and get a western bacon cheeseburger. The prices are not good but that is a good sandwich.
>>
>>22185669
We have Culver's in cities where people land as well.
>>
>>22185671
I mean we have a culvers but it is one in the whole city which is unreliable. Phoenix had in in out, culvers, freddies, and whataburger. Phoenix food choices are on another level.
>>
>>22185672
I lived in the midatlantic as well and it was pretty horrible. I like sheetz but wawa is ass, royal farms is fucking disgusting, and quik trip is in fact the god king of gas stations

That's ridiculously expensive too, for less than a quarter pound of beef. (3.2 ounces PRE-COOKED)
Notice how they engage in hyperbole with the Fries too.
That looks like the Super Size, which has been discontinued for a long time.

The Quarter Pounder with cheese, Super Sized was $5 in 2004

1,540 – 1,620 Calories

• ~70g Fat

• ~160g+ Carbs

The DOUBLE Quarter Pounder with cheese, Super Sized was $5.70 in 2004

1,760 – 1,840 Calories

• ~86g Fat

• ~160g+ Carbs

I think the last time I got a burger at Braums it was still less than ten bucks for the bacon cheeseburger combo. The ice cream is still the main draw though. At the one near me there will be cars twenty deep at the drive in each night in the summer.

Why does the key look like a face silhouette getting its eye gouge out
>>
>>22185528
Damn, last year I used the "alternative method of entry" to get a bunch of monopoly pieces without buying anything and I got so much free food I couldn't even use up all the coupons before they expired.
>>
>>22185719
Please anon, you can't just remind people of how fast food corporations treat their customers like mindless paypiggies. They'll start to feel bad even as they continue to shovel it down their gullets.

Yeah.
I was primarily trying to demonstrate the outrageous loss of Purchasing Power.

Everything is so damn scarce.
>>
I hope the government steps in and breaks up the monopoly they have on SHITTY FOOD!
>>
>>22185528

Faggot.
>>
>>22185874
Why didn't you adjust for increases in wages if you were trying to show the loss of purchasing power? Incomes have doubled since 2004.
>>
>>22185923
The dollar has lost 91% of its value measured against gold since 2004 though
>>
>>22185661
You realize that's just about 23% food cost? Do you also realize that restaurants have shot for 23-25% food cost for literal DECADES? This means 2 things:
1) they're spot on with their pricing, whether you like it or not
2) this is why you cook at home as much as you can
Wake up, dude.
>>
>>22185923
>Why didn't you adjust for
I used a Nominal comparison (vice REAL) because the CPI calculation are fraudulent.
The Media wage earners have been savaged by higher costs in every Category.
And so, the Net effect is that it's more painful to buy that Combo now, by virtue of ALL OTHER household costs rising
1. Rents
2. Insurance
3. Energy
4. Medical

They have all siphoned off of your disposable income, and thus are a severe LOSS of Purchasing Power, in effect.

Not in REAL DOLLAR terms.
You didn't gain any Purchasing Power per dollar, and in effect have lost some. see >>22185946

40 years and it's barely budged..

>>22185832
Same. Got over $200 worth of free food plus another $100 I couldn't spend in time.

no.
this is a sign of healing.
in a correct world mcdonald's does not exist.

>>
>>22185528
i never understood why that was called monopoly.
it's just scratch tickets for fatasses.
go buy scratch tickets if you miss this.
>>
>>22185528
This is no big loss, it's been an open secret for over a decade that the monopoly promotion was a money laundering scheme rigged for close family and associates of employees to receive the large ticket prices

Employees received exponentially more tickets on purchase, had first priority, were not excluded from the information on which ticket codes translated to specific prices etc.

This was just a corporate sponsored slush fund, and the unwashed masses were tossed the incidental 500 dollar prize or years worth of mcdonalds fries with purchase of combo to keep just enough public interest to justify handing them out

they lost a lawsuit over this, and quite frankly all the money and free shit you think you're receiving, you have already an effective method of delivery through the app.

If anything, they will either pocket the extra money and stave off insolvency for another decade, or you will receive an extra surplus of free shit in order for them to wash their hands of this bad PR
>>
>>22185638
Yeah this. All of the top prizes from mcdonalds monopoly are routinely passed around by mcdonalds management. You literally do not have a chance of winning anything good because the managers already stole it.
>>
>>22188106
head office doesnt think its suspicious that all prize winners are on the payroll?

Because it's based on an actual board game white people played called Monopoly you fucking retard

JEETS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO FUCKING POST EVER
>>
>>22188106
What's your evidence for this empty claim? It's illegal and under strict control by federal gaming commissions. The government absolutely does not let corporations play these things fast and easy.

nta but it seems you're saying that if it was a game played with only dice and no other pieces, yet was inspired by the board game, it would still make sense to give it exactly the same name?
to me, that doesnt make sense

also you should go see someone about that obsession of yours, its embarrassing to read
