Failure
Should have tried it like this, but my success with improving and bolstering thin crust pizzas made me overconfident.
I thought it was good for a frozen abizza
Extra cheese and mushrooms. Didn't even add extra pepperoni.
This is where I assume it's done.
Because of the one dark corner
But no. Clearly not done. There's nothing I can't stand more than doughy pizza crust.
More time
Maybe now
Still not done in the middle. Maybe some people like it that way. Same freaks who eat cookie dough without baking it.
This corner is sort of done.
Whole thing cut and back in the tray to bake even longer.
The bottom is quite dark by the time the rest is cooked. And the middle pieces still aren't ready.
That's it. Dealing with it as is and never buying it again. It wasn't just the extra toppings. That's not enough to cause this. Motor City is dead to me.
>>22187847Who taught you how to cut abizza? Also, IF YOU DONT WANT DOUGHY CRUST THEN GET THIN CRUST IDIUT!
>>22187849skill issue
>>22187850>abizzaYou aren't cute, faggot. It's PIZZA. How many cats do you have? Which anime do you watch?
>>22187851No one has more skills than I. You couldn't pull it off either.
>>22187853>pull it offlol its a frozen abizza I've cooked that exact one before with no problems
>>22187849i've had their pizza several times and it comes out perfect following the instructions
>>22187858I added additional toppings. I failed because I dared to fly too high.At least you can spell.
>>22187872you did nothing wrong. any sane person would add toppings to a motor shitty pizza. at the very least it needs extra cheeze to become more than a lightly garnished loaf of bread. but it needs an extra layer of sauce too, drizzle of balsamic couldn’t hurt
>no birriaNo wonder you all Failed
I think the added cheese causes problems with even cooking. The frozen cheese under the fresh cheese means the cheese on top melts first and traps frozen cheese beneath. Maybe it would be better to add the fresh cheese and other toppings half way through the baking process
>>22187886Probably. It wasn't otherwise good enough to buy again. Frozen pizza always has shitty dough so the thinner the better. Make it all about the toppings.
>>22187838Why do you use the box as plate? That's weird. And the box is probably pretty dirty. Think about how many people touched it and all the dirty surfaces it was made contact with before it got to your home.
>>22187899I just used it as a cutting board. I don't worry about something that was handled by people before being stored in a freezer before I get it. It was in my own freezer a week. What germs do you think are on it and surviving all that and then a 450f pizza sitting on it?I've never been sick from the kinds of things you are fearful of.
>>22187899not as plate but as pan. I do that too and I don’t think it occurred to me that it’s unsanitary for a very long time. Oh well, probably not gonna stop. The pizza box is already right there on the counter next to the oven when it’s time to cut it up and eat. I also drink straight from cans that have undoubtedly been touched by people and the environment, unless I can see or feel that it’s dirty. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten sick from it but who knows.
>>22187910I couldn't imagine washing cans before drinking from them. But yeah, if there's visible crud by the hole I'm wiping it out with my shirt or something.
Damn dude, we don't often get gore gore threads on /ck. You butchered that pizza, but the odds were against you before you even took it out of the box. Circular pizzas cook more evenly, fresh or frozen, because of their shape."Bolstering" by adding extra toppings is fine when the added toppings and the pizza are the same temp, but you added unfrozen toppings to frozen pizza. This makes a top layer that not only cooks faster, but cooks, melts, and covers the frozen part and insulates it from the heat, making the inside cook slower. When you look into the oven, the pizza appears "done," but really the unfrozen toppings are cooking normally while covering the still-frozen pizza substrate.Next time, you can completely defrost the frozen pizza in the fridge, and add fridge-cold toppings and bake. Probably better though to bake the stock pizza as the box instructs, then while it's in the oven, prep your toppings and throw them on once the pizza is baked, and then place the pizza on the lowest rack and broil it until done. And for God's sake, during the bake, rotate your rectangular pizza 90º-180º every 1/4 of the total bake time to attempt to even the browning on the corners.Good luck, post results.
>>22187977The heat from the melted toppings doesn't cook the pizza?
>>22187979Correct, in this case. The heat of the oven cooks outside-in. And the layer of raw mushrooms and large hand-cut cheese chunks takes a lot of heat to cook. Raw mushrooms especially because they have to evaporate a lot of water before they brown, which takes a lot of energy. So while things look to slowly cook on top, the upper oven gets humid, the bottom pizza burns, and the middle stays frozen. The last pic shows the mushrooms barely browned. So, the heat of the toppings keeps the pizza frozen.
>>22187903Are you retarded? Freezing doesn't kill germs. The education system has failed you.
>>22188009And neither does extreme heat. I should be dead for letting any food I ate come in contact with any possibly germy surfaces. The world is FULL of dangerous germs and I've not taken the proper precautions. You are so much better than me.
>>22187831Sorry it didn't work out, it's my favorite frozen pizza brand and I've eaten a ton of them so I can share a few tips. You're spot on that the middle part has a tendency to not cook all the way through.Generally my steps go something like this. First I lift off the pizza out of the box, there will always be a bunch of cheese and sometimes toppings that have fallen to the side and underneath. Then scrap as much of the cheese and toppings off the pizza that you can into that box. Separate the toppings and cheese. After that sprinkle some sort of seasoning on the pizza sauce, maybe add a bit of hot sauce or just a bit more sauce it could use it. But most importantly, don't add anything extra around the center, leave at least a golf ball sized area in the middle uncovered. After that if you want to add extra cheese do it now, then readd the frozen cheese being careful again to avoid the direct center. If you do cover it do just the bare minimum of the frozen cheese nothing extra. Finally add meat and veggie toppings last, they need to be able to crisp up, again avoid clogging the center. This is generally enough to give you a decent center, it might not be as crispy as the edge but it shouldn't be completely soggy either. If you really, really want crisp all the way than halfway through the cooking process take it out of the oven, slice it into 4 quarters and turn those quarters around so what was the center corner is now facing the outside. This will guarantee the center gets fully cooked. Sure it's more work but I think it's worth it, it's really the only frozen pizza that doesn't taste like shit these days.
>>22188016That's very thorough and scientifically thought out. But it was too bready for me anyway. I'm going to stick to super thin frozen crusts and stretching my own.
>>22188010You didn't bake the box dipshit. When you eventually get e coli don't act surprised and blame the food.
>>22188024You think germs are not only very powerful but also super resilient. Someone would have to smear actual feces on the box to scare me. And even then, if I didn't see it and it sat in the freezer a long time and had super hot pizza grease directly on it, I would still be fine. Why do you think packages are so filthy? You're a goddamned moron.
Not a big fan of screamin scicillian IN GENERALbut the but their deep dish is elite and usually been on sale near me lately
>>22188025I know exactly how filthy packages are because I work in manufacturing and have worked in logistics. You are trusting minimum wage meth addicts and illegal immigrants through thousands of miles of supply chain. Truckers who haven't showered in 11 days. Forklift drivers chewing tobacco and spitting it on the warehouse floor. And then the cherry on top is the supermarket employee who has literally been pissing and shitting in a public toilet all day that has no paper towels and an empty soap dispenser.I assure you I am not the moron in this situation. You just have a very shallow conception of reality.
>>22188050
>>22188050Damn, you did work logistics.
>>22187852Zero cats and I have never watched anime in life.
>>22188016That’s a good strategy. I wish they sold just the crusts and then I could top it as I like
>>22188131not that making pizza dough is hard at all but supermarkets sell multiple forms of pizza dough both frozen and refrigerated. buy detroit pizza pan. grease pan. put pizza dough in pan. add cheese. bake. top with sauce. wrow.
>>22188131Go to a grocery store sometime.
>>22187831Do you get collapsing buildings and murder with it?
>>22187849You're like a car crash in slow motion - it's like i'm watching you fly through a windshield
>mozzarellafucking arrtard
>buy mass produced corporate product>fuck it up>AARGH IT'S THE COOKING STYLE THAT'S WRONG
>>22188581Who are you quoting? What is a "cooking style"?
>>22187836>add a bunch of extra shit to a FROZEN pizza>it no longer cooks evenly >get mad about itI know you have to be American
>>22188583your dad was right, you are a faggot.
>>22188587Yes I am. But I wasn't mad about it. I just accepted that it didn't work and that the base product wasn't really good enough to try again. Even knowing what went wrong and how to fix it I don't want another frozen deep dish pizza anyway.
>>22188593You had no dad and you're an incel frogposter.
why do yanks always put weird preservatives in their frozen zas
>>22188587Why are you speaking English? The American did that?
>>22188596>You had no dadactually i have two
>>22190916
>>22187831>>22187849OP is getting hate, but I had a similar experience. I trying cooking it n my air fryer and it was basically impossible to get the temperature right. YES the instructions say not to cook in an air fryer but fuck them its the modern age, air fryers are being used in every home in America. Get with the times.
>>22190972detroit style pizza is too thick to cook from frozen in a plastic container. it has to be cooked from room temperature in a conductive container. also a lot of the flavor of detroit style pizza comes from the oil from the cheese frying the the sides of the crust. which just isn't going to happen in fucking plastic. it's a fundamentally flawed product.
>>22190977>it's a fundamentally flawed product.agreed, dubs of truth. it also is pointless, as most days of the week you can get a dominos pan pizza CHEAPER than the FROZEN PIZZA
>>22190977In OPs case most of the flavor came from the filthy cardboard pizza box he used as a cutting board and serving dish.
>>22190972Air fryers fucking suck and you shouldn't try to jam huge pizzas in there.
>>22187831>expects Detroit pizza to be goodSounds like you're the failure, anon.
>>22191010>Air fryers fucking suckwrong, boomer. your fuckass, inefficient oven cannot hit 600 degrees.
>>22191021My mom's a boomer. They don't use 4chan. My oven goes to 550f and the pizza only requires 450f.
>>22187840>There's nothing I can't stand more than doughy pizza crust.Such a pain. I can preheat my oven to 425 with a pizza stone, and my pizzas still come out floppy I actually have to do shit like leave it on the stone after taking it out of the oven for an hour for it crisp
