Calling it now.
Post your eggnog recipes. I've only ever had store-bought.
>>
At some point I’ll make eggnog meringues. They will probably be good. Normal meringues with eggnog spices. Nutmeg, clove, cinnamon.

make nig nog.

two parts eggnog, one part hennessy.
>>
There's a hut with a drive through window, "farm store", and you ask if they have vanilla eggnog
and they don't, so you ask if they have sugar cookie eggnog, and they don't
and you drive away

If that nog goes bad you get a very fucked up liver

I do the SEAmonkey version, basically https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AQpxONSlzk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNN0luGFm4I with rum added. It's called STMJ (susu telur madu jahe, AKA milk egg honey ginger in Javanese) and is exceptionally popular with SEAmonkeys year round.

That's why you only make enough for as many people as are around. It's quick enough that it's not much of a hassle to make to order.

I make a Christmas ice cream that's like that.
Just regular vanilla plus all the sorts of spices you'd have in eggnog/gingerbread/speculaas.
It's great on christmas pudding.

Niggers are OG about their nog apparently, that's basically the original version.

Overnight in the fridge is fine, on the counter/table for an hour is also fine. You wouldn't want to leave it out all day but it's not realistically going to last that long anyway.
All the eggnog I've made has been gone in under an hour.

I made about a gallon of eggnog last year, drank a little bit of it, and then put it in the fridge to age a la Alton Brown. I was gonna bring it to my family's Christmas.
Then my fridge shit out on me and I had to pour it all down the drain.

Work on your reading comprehension, retard cunt.

Your thread inspired me to make some eggnog ice cream.
>>
Cook 2 egg yolks and 30 g sugar in a water bath until it starts binding similar to sauce hollandaise
Add 200 ml milk and 100 ml cream and stir
Let cool down
Add 60 ml rum, 40 ml cognac, the whipped eggs whites, vanilla, cinnamon and some nutmeg, stir and let it sit for some time
>>
>>22188350
I still have some eggnog I made last year from Alton Brown's recipe too. I hope it's still good.

Never made homemade nog, I usually get the Evan Williams bottle, I think it's pretty good. I am going to make a dark rum based nog this year.

it will change your life

>>22188026

But it's 65° inside.

I've gotten into tiki this summer and want to make tiki eggnog this winter. What am I in for?

That's not even tiki as it's the same stuff every other recipe uses. Could contain some orgeat, curaçao, falernum or even grenadine.
If you want those egg nog spices in tiki you should look into Pearl Divers. Nui Nui also contains many of them.

Reminder that most of /v/ doesn't have air conditioning and the concept of consuming more than 7 calories a day is wasteful, since they make only a few slavcoins (with Yakov Smirnoff on the 1 slavcoin) a month.

I lost joy in it.

a local dairy sells bottles of nog during winter, but also something labelled "old fashioned custard" and I don't know what the difference is. the nog is more spiced I guess and the custard tastes like melted vanilla ice cream. are they both made with eggs?

what does this even mean

Hmm, is it time to finally end my ignogrance and make homemade nog? It’s in that weird zone where it feels too decadent to make (and see exactly what goes into it) but not to buy ready made
