They describe their SO-CALLED "onion rings" thusly in my country:

>Onions cut into rings, coated in a light layer of seasoned breadcrumbs, and fried in very hot oil.

When in reality, according to their website, they are made from this:

>Onion (55%), wheat flour (calcium, iron, niacin, and thiamin), rapeseed oil, salt, gelling agent (E401), water, yeast, and paprika extract. >ALLERGENS: CONTAINS GLUTEN.
>CONTAINS WHEAT, RYE, BARLEY, AND OATS.

In other words, it's an onion FRITTER that's SHAPED like an onion ring. I have no problem with that. It's a SHIT "onion ring", but okay. But the advertisement is clearly LYING about what they're selling.
>>
>yes i ate slop but it was diced instead of sliced
>>
>>22193841
i will also, but it will be for the same premise as your case, where you are the plaintiff! so then they will have to address 2 cases that are exactly the same!
>>
>>22193841
I stopped buying them because they are careless when cooking them. Ill stick with the fries, thanks.

This.
OP is incredibly autistic.

Wat?
Notice the comma after onion
Are you medically brain damaged?
>>
>>22194124
Oh so you think it's OKAY for them to LIE? It's just an onion fritter. They must:

a) change their recipe;
b) change the description in their advertisement.

>>22194213
I refuse to take such weak bait.
>>
>>22194221
What developing ESL shithole just opened a BK?
>>
>>22193841
There's no official recognized definition of "onion ring". What BK sells are, in fact, rings made mostly of onion. You would definitely not win a lawsuit. Even the guy who sued Buffalo Wild Wings for serving boneless chicken wings that contain no chicken wing meat had his lawsuit dismissed.

If you complained to BK corporate, they would probably give you a coupon or something, though.

>There's no official recognized definition of "onion ring".
Maybe in the broad scheme of things, but the official BK website defines them as:

>Onions cut into rings, coated in a light layer of seasoned breadcrumbs, and fried in very hot oil.

And this is patently false advertisement.
>>
>>22194234
You need to fuck off. I'm getting absolutely fucking tired of you. Get some new material or shut the fuck up.
>>
Burger King is great food, you’re all just too stupid with unrefined palates to appreciate it.
>>
>>22194490
also esl here. i think he's trying to tell you that the wording in that description means that by weight, the onion constitutes only 55%. the breading/batter makes up the other 45%.
that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a whole slice of onion. can't you just like scrape off the breading and see whether it's a slice of onion or a fritter?
otherwise i get what you mean, i've bought frozen "calamari rings" from the store before and it's not actually a sliced up squid in there, it's just squid and fish paste shaped into a ring. but in your description it doesn't necessarily mean that it's onion paste.
>>

You won’t receive an answer from OP addressing your point unless he wants to double down OR show that indeed BL shitholeTM has indeed developed a whole new process and specialised presses to produce their real fake onion rings.

I admit I’m wrong and kneel ESL sama. HOWEVER my Burger King (Hungry Jacks) does use actual sliced onions.
I underestimated just how fake and gay overseas food can actually be. It’s unfathomable to me.

>false advertisement.
If you cut up onions into mince, and then arrange that mince into the shape of a ring, it is in fact still
>Onions cut into rings
If it said "whole sliced onion" I might agree with you.

When I search the BK menu for onion rings, it says "Golden, crispy-coated rings served hot, featuring a distinct minced-onion blend interior rather than a whole sliced onion."
>>
You all think I'm joking???

BK's description of their onion rings in the American website menu:
>Golden brown, hot, and crispy.

UK's website
>Classic golden onion rings.

They don't actually say it's an onion slice, breaded and fried. Why? Because they know it would be false advertisement.

My legal case just got stronger now.

theyre good though
get some rangs and zesty sauce

In summary, OP's complaint is it's not actually a light layer of season breadcrumbs.

OP, you have to understand that not everyone is at the same level of reading comprehension as you are. Also, could you provide an example of the type of onion ring you consider ideal? Maybe fry up your own in a light layer of seasoned breadcrumbs.
>>
>>22195051
>could you provide an example of the type of onion ring you consider ideal?
-Take a big onion
-Slice it into about 1.5 cm rings
-Separate the layers
-Save the core of the onion for other stuff (useless and too much trouble to bread tiny pieces of shit)
-Take a bowl and put AP flour in it
-Take another bowl and add water (or beer) + flour + seasoning + a little baking powder. Consistency should be a little thicker than pouring cream or a little thinner than pancake batter.
-Toss the raw onions into the flour, then transfer to the batter
-Toss in breadcrumbs or panko (doesn't matter if they're seasoned because you can sprinkle seasoning on them later)
-You can repeat this step (batter + breadcrumbs)
-Layer them on a baking sheet or somewhere in such a way that they won't touch because they can stick to each other
-Let them rest for about 15 minutes, preferably in the fridge
-Fry them in moderately hot oil, about 190 C, until brown.

>You won’t receive an answer from OP addressing your point
you were fucking right. this is so depressing. i can't believe what a vehement shitposter my fellow esl turned out to be. all he had to do was respond to me to get the thread back on rails and he didn't. this fucking sucks man
>>
>>22194502
>i think he's trying to tell you that the wording in that description means that by weight, the onion constitutes only 55%. the breading/batter makes up the other 45%.
No.

The descriptions says it's a "onion cut into rings" which is then coated in breaded and fried. That is not the case.

What they do is to take minced onion (probably reconstituted from dried onions), mix it with flour, water and other stuff, have it extruded from a machine, then frozen, then breaded, then shipped to their locations.

It's got nothing to do with the weight of the onions that are inside the so-called ring. The main reason why they add 55% of it is so they can legally call it onion ring to begin with, probably.

I simply want them to change the description or the recipe.

>>22195240
Fuck you
>>
I'm just glad that OP is a retard from some other country so that it isn't my tax dollars being wasted processing this idiotic and frivolous lawsuit that would definitely be dismissed.
>>
Lawsuit has been filed

>There is a significant discrepancy between how the product is presented to the consumer and its composition as declared by the company itself. The commercial description presents the product as "onions cut into rings" and subsequently breaded with a light layer of breadcrumbs. However, the disclosed composition indicates that the product consists of 55% onion, along with flour, water, yeast, a gelling agent, and other ingredients.

>In other words, it is a type of ultra-processed "onion fritter" made from chopped onion (likely reconstituted from dehydrated onion) mixed with water, flour, and the other ingredients listed by the company to form a batter. This mixture is then extruded by a machine into a ring shape, breaded, frozen, and shipped to the company's various franchise locations, where the product is fried to order. This onion fritter is subsequently sold to consumers as if it were made from "onions cut into rings" that were breaded and fried—a description that sounds far more natural than the product actually being sold.

>It is important to note that Burger King does not use this same descriptive approach on its websites in other countries. On the US website, they are described as "Golden brown, hot, and crispy." On the UK website, the description reads: "Classic golden onion rings." Note the difference: here, the product is explicitly described in a fanciful and fictitious manner, whereas in other countries, the description is vague—neither truly revealing the product's nature nor misleading the consumer.

Where AREN'T onion rings made that way, though? Besides maybe OP's house.

Suing aside they really are abhorrent. I'm a big onion ring fan so I gave them a shot. They barely even taste of onion and have a weird mealy mouthfeel. I was disappointed and my day was sadder because of it.

I have yet to get an actual answer ITT. ARE THE ONION RINGS
>a homogenous onion-infused batter, shaped vaguely into a circle and fried
OR
>an actual (albeit maybe feeble and thin) onion slice battered and fried
I don't eat the kingslop so I have no idea. Somebody who actually eats this shit chime in here. All I have is OP's psychosis and some vague argumentation about if they're good or not.

Remember that guy that tried suing Buffalo Wild Wings over their "boneless wings" not actually being chicken wings? Yeah, he lost that battle in court, setting a precedent that what essentially amounts to a chicken nugget can be called a boneless chicken wing.

They actually changed the onion rings in NA and while they sell it as "new onion rings recipe", sliced like OP wants, it's just regular sysco onion rings. I actually liked the old rings and zesty sauce though, so it's one less reason to go to BK after removing the Stacker in Canada.
