They stood by that claim for a while.

Why wouldn't it?
Adds extra fat and liquid to it.
Which results in more remaining after cooking.
Problem is that evaporated milk is not tasteless, it will add a distinctive flavor to it. Like or hate is a matter of preference.

if you look at the recipes in your images they all involve breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs. liquid soaked crumbs have long been an ingredient in meatloaf and meatballs. they weren't saying anything new. they were saying, "use OUR milk product for your meatloaf."

carnation also was trying to market themselves as a "put it in everything and do everything with it" product which was common at the time.

Oh you mean like a panade? There was some meatball or meatloaf thread earlier this year that caused incredible amounts of seething because anons didn't know what a panade is. It wasn't trolling either. A lot of anons had no idea about panading meatballs and thought it was a retarded troll

yes a panade. and also yes the IQ of this board has dropped by 1 point every year since 2010. I earnestly blame fast food vloggers. This used to be a cooking board and now it's a larping board.
