Are you lactose tolerant?
>>
>>22216443
yea
>>
I genuinely can't tell if I am. I usually have an upset stomach when I eat ice cream but if I eat macaroni and cheese with milk and cream (so the same amount of lactose) I feel totally fine. I'm just confused at this point.
>>
>>22216449
well the easiest way to tell would be to just drink a glass of milk and see if you have symptoms.
>>
No.
>>
>>22216459
I haven't drank milk in like a decade desu, just don't like the mouthfeel.
>>
>>22216461
Just drink it so you can tell.
>>
>>22216443
Cheese and butter is fine but I get the runs and a headache if I try to drink milk.

Ok
>>
No I’m white
>>
>>22216479
So you're lactose intolerant?
>>
>>22216477
Let us know when you do it.
>>
>>22216523
I did, my stomach feels less upset than when I eat ice cream. Maybe it's high fat and sugar?
>>
>>22216524
Maybe
>>
>>22216524
I don't think ice cream really has enough fat to where it should cause issues for most people. It could be the sugar along with lactose, it could also be any additives like gums which cause issues for some people. If it's chocolate then sometimes that could cause issues too.
>>
>>22216443
I think I probably am. I denied it for years. When I was a teen and worked at Tesco on my breaks I would just eat yoghurts but I'd be rushing the toilet to shit every time.

I don't eat that much dairy nowadays but I switched to lacto free milk and cheese and thing it helped.
>>
>>22216443
No i just like farting
>>
I sort of am. I can't eat cheeses that are made with fresh milk like mozzarella, but aged cheeses/cheeses made with cooked milk are okay. Ice cream and regular milk are hard nos for me unless I want to spend 3 hours on the shitter for it.
>>
hell yeah. i can eat chese, white chese, all that hard stuff as much as i want. i can drink 1l of milk in 24 hours with a couple of farts and that's it. fuck lactose intolerant pussies
>>
>>22216443
I had a cow's milk allergy as a kid. That went away but I remain mildly lactose intolerant. Mildly meaning if I swig a large cup of milk it's not going to be a pleasant few hours but things with cheese like pizza or lasagna are usually no problem.
>>
>>22216443
Nope... runs through me
>>
I'm ok with milk and any milk product except Greek yogurt gives me the constipation from hell.
>>
>>22216443
No
>>
>>22216469
I'm 1/4th azn and I'm perfectly fine drinking milk and eating cheese. Maybe I just got lucky.
>>
>>22216443
Of course.
>>
>>22216443
As a man who just ate a pint of ice cream? no
>>
Yeah, I came to terms with it a long time ago but still drink lactose free (i.e lactase added) milk like a mad man. Cheeses, yogurt, and ice creams don't interest me much. Just the milk. Though I've always been obsessed with dairy products and love being around them for some reason.
>>
I was fine until I was around 30 but now I have no idea what triggers it. some stuff only gives me gas, a single scoop of ice cream makes me have to shit within 20 minutes, and for some reason boxed macaroni and cheese makes me have to shit 8 hours earlier than I normally would. I won't change my diet though so it becomes everyone else's problem.
>>
Im White, so no.
Civilization was built upon our milky cheesy diet

lactose started giving me the immediate shits almost right after I got vaxxed. I used to eat a lot of dairy so it took me several month to figure out what was happening to me. my doctor told me it was genetics despite nobody in my extended family having this problem. a lot of garbage food I used to eat has dairy, so I've lost weight since then but it still sucks. I will never take another vaccine again
>>
>>22217388
What the fuck
>>
>>22217680
You didn't take the first one, Boris. And you'll never catch moose and squirrel, either.
>>
>>22217861
it started happening maybe a week after the second shot. its possible its all just a (((coincidence))) but I'm still never taking another shot again
>>
>>22217680
It seems possible but I'd probably assume other things first. Were you actually consuming milk regularly before? If you were eating yogurt, cheese, butter, etc. then those are easier to digest or don't have much lactose. You can also develop lactose intolerance temporarily if you stop consuming it for a while, but you just need to drink a small amount of milk for a day or two then work your way up to a full glass and you should be alright.
>>
>>22217874
yes, I ate/drank all of those pretty regularly. I had to completely change my diet, since so many sauces, breads, etc. have lactose. For some reason, the worst for me are flavored potato chips. I don't have any issues with butter but a single slice of cheese on a burger gives me problems
lactose free products are fine, but the pills dont consistently work
>drink a small amount of milk for a day or two then work your way up
I've heard that you can develop tolerance that way, but it hasn't worked for me. Shits would range from normal diarrhea to firerrhea which is painful as hell, so I just gave it up.
>>
>>22217883
>I don't have any issues with butter but a single slice of cheese on a burger gives me problems
That's strange because cheese has almost no lactose. Even American cheese might only have a single gram which isn't enough to cause issues. If you say you have issues with cheese then I'd assume a protein allergy but you say lactose free products are fine.

Do you regularly drink coffee or alcohol?
>>
>>22217890
been dealing with it for years and it took me months to figure out; only figured it out by specifically cutting things from my diet
drink 1 cup of coffee daily and maybe a couple drinks on the weekend, but not really a big drinker. went through all these same questions with my pcp.
it's pretty clearly a lactose issue. I've read the same thing about "low-lactose" cheese and the only thing I can say is, must be nice if that works for people. it doesn't work for me. a single slice of pizza will fuck me up, but if I make my own using lactose free mozzarella, I can eat the whole thing in one sitting and be fine
>>
>>22217965
That sucks. Usually even people with lactose intolerance can have about 12g or so before symptoms start but it sounds more like you're having an allergic reaction to it almost.

I feel like my body reacts more to milk products to milk itself. I used to think that I was lactose intolerant because I would have issues with ice cream and some cheeses. Recently, I have started drinking pints of milk on occasion and it hasn't caused any issues. Maybe it was just the high fat contents of those things that was the issue?
>>
>>22216443
No, I am lactose intolerant.

When I was about 35 I started waking up in the middle of the night vomiting. Turns out that was because (1) I'd have a big bowl of cereal in the morning for breakfast because supposedly that was "healthy", (2) that would give me huge amounts of gas all day and all night, (3) at night when I laid down my intestines would fill up with gas, (4) that gas would eventually force its way backwards and up into my stomach, (5) resulting in all of my stomach acid suddenly being shoved up my esophagus and into my mouth.

It's a really shitty way to wake up.

Eventually I correlated the nights that I barfed with the mornings that I ate cereal, and stopped eating cereal. Turns out it was lactose intolerance.

>>22219810
it scares me how people just become lactose intolerant overnight.
even my sister who has always consumed dairy products started to feel sick and found out the source of her illness in a few weeks.

on the other hand it shouldnt be possible for whites to be lactose intolerant so my guess is they're putting some nasty chemicals into it
>>
>>22216443
I eat a jar of yogurt every other day. I am the most tolerant.
>>
Idk my stomach has been acting weird lately but it might just be the salami ass cancer
>>
>>22216524
Try eating ice cream with like 6 ingredients instead of the ones with all the gums and stablizers and shit, then report back soldier
>>
>>22216524
i diagnose you with being a picky little shit
>>
>>22220367
Why wouldn't it be possible for whites to be lactose intolerant?
>>
>>22216443
No I'm white.
>>
>>22220431
no white person was lactose intolerant 50 years ago

I'm allergic to milk/cream, lactose-free stuff gives me the exact same response(stomach pains, feel faint), wtf is it?
I have no problem with cheese or butter, I'm 100% white too
>>
>>22220522
Your opinions on what happened 3× longer ago than your own birth are less than worthless.
>>22220367
Diagnostic criteria have both improved and turned to shit. My sun was diagnosed with a wheat allergy which is nonsense as he eats bread and pasta and so on with no issue. The improvement is that people with health issues which would have gone undiagnosed 50 years ago are now getting proper diagnoses. You might have gone undiagnosed in the 70s but today we know you live with a pitiably extreme case of faggotry.
There is no cure. : (

Not all product labeled lactose free is created equal. Check the ingredients for oils, gums, and other shit. But most milk labeled Lactose Free "Milk" is still 100% milk with added lactase enzyme. They don't actually remove the lactose.
>>
>>22216443
Up to 3 cups of milk yea.
