i've been making my way through their flavors ever since i set Breyer's aside after years of enjoying it. they changed something and its rock fucking hard now.i started with the Tillamook cookies & cream because its my favorite flavor. its good and they seem to be real Oreo bits. if not they taste very similar. the chunks are big and add good crunch. will purchase again
the next one i tried was the Tillamook dark chocolate cookies & cream. i like dark chocolate and its tough to find good ice creams of it. the ice cream itself is good. they use the same cookie bits, and i get what they were trying to go for with the combo, but it just wasn't working. will not buy again
next i ventured back to vanilla bases and tried their Vanilla Bean which i've had before in their ice cream sandwiches. it is very good, crisp, light, and the crushed bean seeds add a little crunch which is nice. they also do a french and old-fashioned version which i might try but i dont see how those could surpass this. will buy again
continuing to alternate between light and dark ice creams, i tried this one next. i'm a big fan of coffee ice cream and this was a letdown. the coffee flavor is weak already, and completely dominated by the fudge in it. will not buy again
>>22216584>i set Breyer's aside after years of enjoying it. they changed something and its rock fucking hard now. It's not real ice cream and they can't label it as such, its called frozen dairy desert now
Keep going OP
>>22216621it was still good until earlier this year when it became almost impossible to scoop out. they definitely changed something
this is the next one i tried. it was very disappointing. it is not cookie dough ice cream, its just their chocolate chip ice cream with cookie dough bits, which tasted stale like the toppings at a frozen yogurt place that have sat out all week. will not buy again and you shouldnt waste time on this one either
>>22216596>they also do a french and old-fashioned version which i might try but i dont see how those could surpass this. will buy againYou need not try those flavours, waste of money
>>22216653i tried this one next, continuing my light/dark alternating. i was happy with it. nice, good flavor, not trying to show off. all it needs is a little crunch so i sprinkled some crushed walnuts in and it was a winner. peanuts would've worked too i bet. will buy again>>22216653thank you
this is the most recent one i tried. i didnt like it, mostly because it has no business calling itself waffle cone ice cream. the waffle cone bits were very lacking and the caramel was in big chunks instead of swirls. maybe i got a bad batch, but likely will not buy againlater i will post flavors i intend to try in the near future
>>22216584>eastcoast libshit trashCant wait till we kill all the coasties and resettle the land with Real Americans
>>22216676by all means, stick to eating your slop>frozen dairy dessert
any black raspberry offerings?
>>22216584If you like coffee, the Espresso Chip flavor is GOATed.The chocolatey espresso chips are intensely flavorful and there's a fucking shitload of them.
>>22216701none. they have a marionberry pie flavor and white choc raspberry that's as close as it'll get
>>22216708its one of the next ones i want to try. i just learned about it getting screenshots from their website. i think my kroger doesnt stock it or i'd have tried it already
>>22216711I used to get it at WinCo. It didn't used to be limited edition.
>>22216717>It didn't used to be limited edition.everything gets shittier, doesnt it
after i track down the espresso chip and try it i plan to return to their chocolate collection and try the other three. i expect german chocolate cake might be a miss but the other two i'll probably like
>>22216621This happened at least 5 years ago thoughbeit
You are fat and likely retarded
>>22216889well youre half right
>>22216892Why of course, I am half left as well!
>>22216894very funny. what ice cream flavors do you like?
I just learned they are not Kosher. Kind of a shame because I enjoyed their dairy.
I just make my own in my Ninja Creami.
I want to read their reviews on the two or three other types of vanilla they have. I used to stock the ice cream shelves sometimes when waging and was always curious about their vanillas.
>>22216676Tillamook is an Oregon company based out of Tillamook, Oregon. You should have been able to deduce this from the fact that it's called "Tillamook".
>>22216902I don't like ice cream I'm miserable because I'm trans obsessed. It's why I lashed out.
Comfy thread OP enjoy your ice cream >>22216992Based
>>22216584I dunno where you live icecreamfag but if you can find Mayfield ice cream you should try it. I like their lemon ice box pie flavor
>>22216802I’m interested to hear about the German cake, if it’s good I’ll have to pick some up.Also seems like their lineup is smaller than a few years ago, I think they used to have custards and premium pints (different flavors than the normal size)
>>22217276i'll get that one next if i cant find the Espresso Chip
OP here bumping my thread since i made it to the grocery today and they were having a BOGO which was nice. tonight after dinner i'll try the german chocolate flavor and post my review
I think my sister really likes a berry of sorts, like oregon berry or boisonberry or something?
Do you use a pallet cleanser, OP? If not, I'd recommend either black espresso or highly concenctrated black instant decaff or regular coffee for a more economical solution.
>>22219646they have oregon strawberry and a few other fruit flavors but i never cared for fruit flavor ice cream>>22219657i do when i need to but not with these because i'm trying them days or weeks apart from each other
buy an ad
These are some boring flavors.
>>22219845>i never cared for fruit flavor ice creamDoes this apply to sorbets and sherbets as well?
>>22216663This is the best flavor hands down
>>22219646They have oregon strawberry and marionberry pie flavors
I wish I could get the marionberry flavor but they don't have it on the east coast even though dc elected him for mayor.
>>22220084The marionberry pie one is pretty fuckin good.
overweight
>>22220260marionberry is a berry I need to try before I die not gonna lie it sounds pretty fly my guy
>>22216584somehow im always disappointed with their ice cream. for instance their waffle cone ice cream had almost no waffle cones in both times i bought it. also are we sure it is that high quality?
this one is good but it is not german chocolate cake ice cream. in an entire bowl i got only one piece of pecan and one taste of coconut. the cake pieces are big and tasty. likely wont buy again>>22220047generally yeah>>22220331it seems better than other ones i've tried
>>22219858They're more focused on the fact that it's real ice cream made by highly regarded dairy company. Cake bakers love their butter for example.
>Shillamook threadFuck yea. My favorite ice cream
>>22216584you ever had umpqua dairy? thats the other oregon ice cream brand
>>22220546>likely wont buy againThat’s too bad, I was hoping it’d be good.Once you’re done with the Tillamook line will you move onto another brand?
>>22220084>marionberryyeah that's the one
I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THIS CRAP WHAT'S THE MINT LIKE
>try tillamook now>ice cream is dairy foam
>>22221706I tried Tillamook once and it was shit. As you described, completely whipped full of air. People act like it's a premium brand when it's really no better than any other generic trash like Breyers or Turkey Hill.
>>22216584Looks like one of those things where the branding beats the quality
>>22221708It used to be better i swear on me mum
>>22221409probably yes they have a few winners so far but overall not the brand I'll stay with
>>22221691Based and mintpilled.
>>22221913do a ben+jerry's or haagen daz oneor talenti for something diff
>>22216584Your thread inspired meUnfortunately didn’t have the Apple Crisp Flavoure, but out of these five, the Oregon Strawberry and the Vanilla Bean are the Best
Why did a random Oregon town become a dairy brand when Oregon isn't even known for dairy?
>>22222324The vanilla bean is very good. How was the mudslide?
>>22216591kek, i bought 16 of those today
>>22222636Why?
>>22222639sale
>>22222328Iirc there’s a lot of dairy cows around that town. There’s a lot of agriculture in the fertile area west of the cascade mountains but the eastern 3/4 of the state is more dry and desolate
For me, it's ice cream for bears.
>>22222347The Strawberry is also v. GoodThe Mudslide is p. Good as well; not too fudgy/sweet
>>22216638this happens when it thaws a bit then gets refrozen. may something happened during transport
>>22222643Why would you buy so much of something just because it’s on sale?
Put down the spoon, fattie.
>>22223064Based fellow Michigander. I buy mine at Westborn.
ive been to the tillamook factory, shit was cash. suspiciously they dont allow tours of the jerky factory............
>>22223064I made some honey ice cream. It comes out much sweeter so you end up using less honey then sugar, by volume. It also gives it that nutty honey flavor. If I saw an ice cream with honey as the sweetener, while in the store, I'd probably pick some up.Kinda weird that there aren't more companies doing this, but I guess honey is much more expensive than sugar/corn syrup.
>>22221711It legitimately was when it was still a regional product and not a national supermarket brand
>>22216676Horrible baitIf not bait, then retarded
>>22223776That's a different tillamook. The last time I bought that crap it had sugar, hfcs, and it tasted like strawberry. Barely any actual beef.
>>22222636You're gonna get diabetes, fatass.
>>22221706Same thing is true of another Oregon brand, Umpqua, which also used to be good but is no longer. They also removed the Indian from their logo and packaging. Everything woke turns to shit, I guess.
>>22216711I've had it. Didn't like it that much, coffee flavor was fine, chocolate bits weren't that good. I think haagen daas has the best coffee ice cream, nice and dense.>>22216802chocolate hazelnut is good.>>22220331the tubs got smaller and the price went up. the texture got worse I think too. they still put out solid flavors, marionberry is always the goat, their french vanilla is great, peaches and cream is good.>>22221708it really used to be better. it's all I would buy because it was cheap and tasty.
I'm surprised somebody hasn't made a "dubai chocolate" flavor yet. What the fuck are they waiting for?
>>22224490i want to finish their chocolate flavors i bet i'll like the hazelnut and the brownie. i'm also going to try the marionberry pie since anons are saying its very good
>>22216584tillamook was decent until they started putting gum/stabilizers in their "ice cream"the only real ice cream you can buy at a grocery store now is haagen-dazs
>>22225604Haagen-Dazs costs and arm and a leg and doesn't even taste that great. It certainly isn't any better tasting and you get less for more. I tried it and I'll never buy it again. Same with Talenti 'gelato'.
No dulce de leche flavor? I bet americans would lose their minds over that.
>>22223753If he already buys it and eats it regularly he's saving money over the long term, as long as he doesn't eat through it like a pig just bc he has a bunch of ice cream in his fridge.
>>22224500I cant think of any cereal that has a crispy grain mix-in. It only really works as a topping i think. Especially with how thin the kadiyif(?) is. I think it'd just get super soggy.
>>22224421i tried that brand recently and i thought it was better than the store brand and tillamook. it was a weird flavor too.
>>22216601Same but it's literally the only coffee icecream I can find anymore that isn't "latte" which is always coffee icecream watered down with vanilla icecream "swirls" or some such.>>22216802German chocolates actually one of my favorites and I'm not sure why. >>22220546Actually now reading your review despite liking it I remember there being wayyy to much pecan in my last one maybe it just isn't that consistent. Should try their cherry flavor if they have it around. I love tillamook because HFCS upsets my stomach and it's one of the only brands at kroger that doesn't have it in their ingredients.
>>22216584I wonder if a jerky flavored one exists.
I checked Tillamook out, as they are the cheapest brand after the store brand near me (not counting the plastic bucket of Neapolitan that can't legally be called ice cream), and they have a lot of corn in their stuff. I'm not a fan of corn in shit that shouldn't have corn in it. The only reason anyone uses corn is because it is cheap. If they are cheaping out on that ingredient you know damn well they are doing it for others. I found a vanilla without corn in it and it was good but not great.Meanwhile, the store brand, which is almost universally awful, actually had real vanilla ice cream without corn in it. It was their one ice cream without corn. I figured, at $2.50 for 1.5 quarts, I could try it. It was pretty good. Lord knows who makes it for them though. It would be great for floats or malts. Some of Breyers ice cream is still good but only their simple stuff. You get the fancy flavors and the quality drops fast. Also a lot of corn. Dreyer's was disappointing. Lots of corn and it just doesn't taste very good for the price. It tased like a much cheaper ice cream.>>22224421Umpqua is yuck. I've never had them with the Indian on the front though, only recently. It was the worst ice cream I have had that wasn't in the discount bin at Grocery Outlet.
>>22227261>wayyy to much pecan in my last one maybe it just isn't that consistentmine had maybe, 3 pieces of pecan in the whole thing. it was probably a bad batch. i've never liked cherry flavor in anything unfortunately. reminds me of medicine
>>22227495Every bite had like 2 pecans at least which is a shame pecans are kind of something I put up with because I like things that happen to have them really not a fan. That's a shame about the cherry thing I really liked that their cherry icecream had chunks of cherry in it. Haven't ahd their strawberry I wonder if it's the same cause I really hate the artificial strawberry syrup type icecream.
>>22227870i am going to try their strawberry and marionberry pie next sort of burned out on chocolate
