Nice action shot
>>22216939yeah that Hot Bar™ looks like shit. I always see the thread and feel sorry for the dude.
>>22216930No one in this thread has ever worked a hot bar. That food is ice cold with those ceramic containers and that heating surface, not to mention all the containers in the middle aren't even touching the heating surface.
>>22217109Hotbah Anon never takes an overview shot, always just a feature. It might look nicer, have more variety, and be more appealing if we could see the overview. But instead it's like one of those hideous close-up details from Ren & Stimpy or Spongebob
What is this Hot Bar™ shit?
>>22217125What do you mean exactly? Or are you new?>>22211062
>>22216930Thanks for sharing this OP, I’ll never go there but it’s very interesting to see>>22217047I wonder if the mall location of restaurante da fazenda has a much more limited offering, the pics of the standalone location(s?) look like they have a much larger buffet
>>22216904malls dont exist anymore
>>22217352They do, they're just really sad to go to.
>>22217352>>22217358The shopping centre (aka the mall) is still central to local Australian shopping and retail life and I fucking love that. Every shopping centre is anchored by supermarkets plus cheap and posh retailers, and a hundred other things like bakers and trailors and jewelers and boutique fashion and cafes and etc. and they are thriving. As someone who has lived in both the USA and Straya I have to say the "shopping mall" culture in Australia is like what malls in the USA were like in the 90s. It's fucking wonderful. I was at Myer the other day (basically equivalent to Macy's) and they had staff everywhere and registers open everywhere and I didn't have any trouble asking where something was and ringing it up and getting out in 10mins without being annoyed. Fuck it reminds me of what we lost back in New England.
>>22217369Australia doesnt count.for anything
>>22217379naw don't be like that anon!
>>22217383ill be like i want. Australia isnt relevant in any meaningful sense. You guys are weird and talk weird. You're somehow worse than the British.
>>22217386sorry you feel that way anon. I'll leave you be then, but do please take your gift
>>22216904That's not mall food. this is mall food
>>22216947
>>22216927Why do you faggots who complain about what people are eating sound like blithering retards every time and can't talk normally? Is it the same person who does this?
>>22217014I think he’s just shy of 6ft and the other people are shortThe rack he’s standing next to is likely 6ft
>>22217094> get help You’re dumb>>22217352Yeah, they’re still around in wealthy suburbs in the US
>>22216930Based op for nice pictureI hope it was yummy>>22217116I keep asking and he ignores me
>>22217369What killed malls?
Why aren’t you sitting with the chads, anon?
>>22217534Online shipping and Amazon, and to a smaller extent Ebay and Craigslist. I moved to Australia in 2005 when malls in the USA were still thriving, and they were certainly still healthy as fuck in Australia.I went back to the USA in 2010 and every store had online buying (online ordering for each store 100% didn't exist when I left in 2005). That didn't exist in Australia for years longer, like 5-7 years longer. When Australia caught-up with that shit about 10 years later, it was so much less reliable (not because AusPost, they're actually fucking great) but all the cheep 3rd party (and eventually Amazon) delivery services were and are still dismal. But really, it's more about the demographics. People in Australia don't decide to "drive to the mall" a couple times a month. Every town and city, and in big cities every suburb, have their local "shopping centre" and it's not just Levis stores and Orange Julius, it's literally where your supermarkets and carwash and everything else is. It's hard to fucking beat every local shopping centre with 3rd party shipping
>>22217534mall people.can't fucking stand being near them.
>>22217386It’s funny because you have it backwards and are too backwards to even realise it. Australia is more on top of current trends than USA these days. USA has become fucking weird and stagnated.
>>22217063Can I go with her?
>>22217412But he's a good two feet taller than the guy facing him. Either the pizza tosser is 7-8 feet tall or the guy with his back turned is a midge.
>>22218164>>22217412>>22217014Why are zoomers so low-iq? Obviously the pizza shop floor is elevated.
>>22218173You have no proof the floor is elevated. In fact that would make no sense in a mall food court. Use your brain. The answer is either the pizza men are incredibly tall or the cuck waiter is a midge.
Man I miss the mall food court. You are one lucky bugger, anon
>>22216930Those fries are SAD looking.
>>22217383Why do they make the mouth like a loopy W? Only harelipped deformed freaks resemble that.>>22217390Now it's normal.
>>22218179Most floors are elevated in this regard. Only faggot conspiracy theorists would say any different because they're failures and that's the only control they feel they have in their lives.
>>22217537>the chads
>>22218208I think there was a 2010s trend of using catface emojin in reaction images and now it's perfect fodder for ironic use
>>22217410Why do you faggots who show what you are eating sound like blithering retards every time and can't talk normally? Is it the same person who does this?
>>22218256It's supposed to be a cat mouth??
>>22218437I don't know man ask Gemini to figure this one out. Gemini has all the world's internet as its knowledge base
>>22216904Malls still exist?
>>22218164That looks like barely a foot shorter, and if they’re in a South American country it’s not abnormal for folks to be short>>22218173Yeah, that’s an option. I don’t think they look that tall or distant in height. Nonissue
>>22218093Current Chinese trends maybe
>>22216904Do any brazillians have recommendations on feijao tropeiro recipes? The top English language I could find is this one: https://www.oliviascuisine.com/feijao-tropeiro/But I'm always a bit skeptical of random recipe blogs
>>22219677It's a good recipe, just don't use olive oil. Traditionally this dish was made using lard, but most people just use vegetable oil now. Pinto beans are great for it, but you can use black beans also. For the smoked sausage, I suggest anything similar to a smoked kielbasa. Don't use chorizo (either Spanish or Mexican kind...it's totally different)Most Brazilians cook beans in a stove top pressure cooker, some will soak overnight, some don't. I suppose you could use canned beans for this recipe, although they don't sell canned beans down here, so I don't know what they're like... if it's just cooked beans, use it, it's fine. She tells you to remove the stems from the collard greens, literally no one does that in here. We just trim the very bottom where it's brown.
>>22219696Thank you!!I have a pressure cooker so I'll probably use that for the beans and I have a bunch of leftover lard from making tortillas so I'll go the traditional route Thanks again Brazil bro :)
>>22219696Why do you say don't use olive oil? The Portuguese and Spanish cook with delicious good quality olive oil.
>>22219743You're welcome.>>22219748I love olive oil, but it's not something that you will find at a regular Brazilian household, mostly because it's a lot more expensive than vegetable oil, but also because it's not a flavor most people down here enjoy. You can use olive oil for the dish, but it's not gonna taste like you'll have in the vast majority of homes or restaurants, even.
>>22219773>but also because it's not a flavor most people down here enjoy. Interesting. What's the favored cooking oil/fat in Brazil? Do Brazilians like olives?
>>22219829The vast majority cook with vegetable oil. Olive oil and butter you'll find mostly with middle class +Brazilians love pickled olives, we put them in all our pizzas lol, plus in fillings for our empanadas and similar snack thing and also many salads.
>>22216904>Chicken nuggetsIf I'm paying for a buffet, the one thing I'm NOT getting is the mystery meat surprise>>22217369>"Australian shopping centers are alive and well">Posts a picture of a shopping center which is clearly dead in the waterI am-a confused
>>22219965>I am-a confusedSorry if that wasn't clear anon, that deadmall is my childhood shopping mall back in USA a few years before it was demolished.Pic related is the local shopping centre in the year 2026 here in Aus
>>22216930Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
>>22219974>that deadmall is my childhood shopping mall back in USA a few years before it was demolishedDamn, that's weird, it looks exactly like an Australian shopping center to me. Picrel is one in my city, even the roof design looks similar
>>22221252maybe that's just a common budget design that maximizes light and building scale without overdoing it on cost
