Why do Mexican foods have random black olives? Is it because black olives are a huge industry in California?
>>22219821Why do you hate black olives, anon? Who hurt you?
>>22219486none of those ingredients are mexican
>>22219821>Why do Mexican foods have random black olives? They don't. It's a Cal-Mex thing. The few (few few few few few) Mexican dishes that have any olives at all use green ones, like pescado a la veracruzana. American style black olives were invented in California because proper black olives take too long to make naturally and were subsequently shoehorned into Cal-Mex cuisine inorganically through marketing.
