This is what you need. It tastes good, it has meat, carrots, and potatoes in it, it doesn't require water, you can eat it cold, and it has a pull-tab, so it doesn't require a can opener.
>>22220599>It tastes goodit's literally alpo, op.
>>22220599How fat and pathetic are you
>>22220614About half as much of the former and a third of the latter as you, king. But trying hard to reach your heights.
>>22220599good idea anonI'll pick up a can next time I'm at the store
>>22220599Not bad to have in the pantry as backup slop in case of a power outage or something. I only ever ate the stuff once but it was fine.
You might paste away if you Dinty Moore.
>youwho?>needsource?
>>22220599so based>>22220612>>22220614fuck youthis is american food
>>22220599the ingredients are also surprisingly minimal, and wholesomebut people don't want to admit that >muh sodium>muh dog foodread the label, dudegrow up
>>22221371no, anon.it's just alpo.
>>22220599also has more sodium than a fucking salt lick
>>22221922A big sodium meal on occasion, or in an emergency, isn't going to kill you. You do eat a balanced diet the rest of the time, right? You can also get the less sodium version.
>>22220599oh fuck
>>22220599The beef gravy is ground beef and potato.
>>22221965>big sodium mealBrother that's 400 calories it's barely a snack. Meat and potatoes and carrots weren't meant to be shelf stable at room temperature.
>>22220599The shit is surprisingly not bad. I had about 15 cans of this, for super emergency backups, stuffed in my pantry during the chinkyvaxx nothingburger, then spent 3 months working my way through it.
dinty moore beef stew does not taste good. my dad is obsessed with this shit and has been for years and it's worse than Campbell's chunky and and campbells isn't exactly fine dining. the guy who said it was dog food isn't far off because it does vaguely taste like dog food smells and I say that as someone who has eaten it dozens of times. I'm not revolted by it but it is not good.
>>222219222g is nothing, especially if you're not a sedentary blob and/or don't have horrific genetics for hypertension (I regularly consume 6g+ per day and I have borderline hypotension)
>>22222744
If I wasn't too drunk to remember, this was the greasiest thing I'd ever tried. The rest of the range of these "60 seconds in the microwave and done" things are bland to okay, the two inedible ones were the beef stew, and the turkey with dressing.
>>22222670>Brother that's 400 calories it's barely a snack
>>22220599Hey OP, this is super low effort. I have a money saving trick for you. I just made chicken soup.Buy a rotesserie chicken for a few bucks at costco/walmart whatever store sells those for loss leaders. Enjoy eating the chicken for a day or two, leave some chunks of meat around the bones. By day 3 at the latest (prob, idk, im not an expert) you make a broth. You stick the chicken in that pot of water and bring it to a boil then reduce the heat and let it simmer 40 mins to an hour and a half. You add the onions, carrot (optional), celery (i just had celery seeds but they worked), black peppercorns and salt. I didnt even have bullion but thats okay.I also wanted to use these bay leafs i never use so I stuck a couple on the side and let it all simmer. Near the end I strained out the onions peppercorns, bay leaf and any of the chicken bones and returned the stock and chicken to the pan and put in some Udon Noodles. They cooked in that soup. I had a big pot of delicious chicken noodle soup. Also I left some onions in there because i like eating them even though they are boiled onions and i think if i really wanted to make this special I'd dump the boiled onions and then fry some fresher ones until they caramelize a bit and then just put those in the soup at the end. This stuff you buy in a can sucks! Try to cook a little something it tastes a million times better and you feel great for doing it!
>>22222877I get the sentiment I really do but you seem to think the same people eating Dinty Moore beef stew are the same ones home making chicken stock. which I can assure you is not the case
>>22222881When im low energy I dont cook but the past 1 year I dropped all fastfood and cook way more. There is always hope for OP. Never give up!
>>22220599My uncle gave me lile 12 of these and by the third can it had a weird taste to it. Now that im more experienced i would have added grilled onions and mushrooms and spice, perhaps served it over rice but that can by itself is gnarly.
>>22220599For me its tushonka
>>22220599Just make your own stew without the bad flavor and chemicals
>>22220599Preach, brother. Preach!
>>22221724>wholesomeHI STEVE!
>>22223328Bought that from the Polish market one time, it fucks and I should buy some more next time I'm there. I just fried it and ate it with some dark rye I bought there. I can't imagine how horrid that is for you though unless you're doing gulag labor
>>22225225>unless you're doing gulag laborAnd those gulag laborers wouldn't have access to tushonka. Ironic!
>>22225255Was going to say "Red Army WWII labor" but decided against it for some reason. The US actually made tushyonka for the USSR during WWII as part of lend lease
>>22220599i'm not american, THOUGH
>>22225283They included a whole ass bay leaf in every can?!Holy crap!
>>22220599This brings back good memories from when I was young and would stay at home from school sick...for some reason when I started feeling better I always craved this. I remember one time my mom offered to make me beef stew and I said I wanted Dinty Moore and she got offended lol
>>22222670>400 calories is a snackYou are a fatty fatty fat fuck.
>>22220599How does it have no preservatives if it's shelf stable canned food meant to last a couple years on the shelf
>>22227542The lack of air in the can uncooks the meat.
>>22227542>>222275482000mg of salt per can
>>22220599I wonder if this stuff was better back in the day.
>>22221922Salt is not bad for you.
>>22227918I was a poorfag growing up in the 80s and 90s and we ate this once a week, every week. it was a hell of a lot better back then.
