Looks like McDonald’s profits bout to skyrocket
Didn't they do this already not too long ago with McDonald's deals and people fucked it up being retarded faggot scalpers?
>>22223326Start including women with the Happy Meal. Sure, that could be considered false advertising, but it'll give you a shot at having a date.
>>22223326Time to start scalping the happy meals.
>>22223330Lots of girls like pokemon, it's one of those things unattractive people bond over. Girls like the whole cute cartoon animal schtick, guys like the gaming aspect. Lots of mediocre looking people have had kids while doing weird sexy Pikachu role playing.
>>22223326This would be cooler if you went back to the figures instead of the card shit. I get that TCG is popular but it is truly the worst aspect of pokemon other than the people who want to fuck the pokemon. Also stop doing dumb tie ins to the modern era shit. I’m not saying you have to go all the way back to genwun all the time, in fact please don’t, but anything gen6 and beyond is irredeemable garbage at this point. You might think, McShill who reads this, >but the pokemon company WANTS us to do cards and tie ins to the modern garbageI bet the fuck they do because they need serious help selling it. Use your goddamn financial weight as McDonald’s to push them into doing better shit with their IP. I would thank you and be a better customer. Fuck TPC is so out of touch and they’re so big nobody can browbeat them about it. Fuck Masuda.
>>22223370>Lots of mediocre looking people have had kids while doing weird sexy Pikachu role playing.huh
>>22223343When did it get this bad?
>>22223438always has been, you just haven't been paying attention
>>22223380why no special burger, sauce etc...
>>22223499Pokemon should overprint and fuck over the retards like what konami does all the time.
>>22223674Why still no Silent Hill slots in the states?
>>22223674whywhen they can just indefinitely sell out of every printing they ever release, so they ride the line of overprinting and making infinite moneyso long as they don't cross the line into print-into-the-dirt they have unending market demand
>>22223380>I bet the fuck they do because they need serious help selling itI don't think pokemon has trouble selling anything and that's the problem. Not a problem for them, per se, but a problem for people who want effort beyond 20-dollar rom rereleases. Pokemon fans will buy anything pokemon regardless of quality and they'll never try again until that stops being the case.
>>22223343You jest but doesn’t this happen every time they do a pokemon card collab
>>22223330I don't want her take her back
>>22223818I vaguely recall it happening with Yu-Gi-Oh too. A Millennium Shield would've gone great with my primary deck but I never pulled one and they were being sold for unjustifiable amounts when Labyrinth Wall was functionally the same thing.
>>22223499I had that slowpoke FUCK
>>22223970>Labyrinth Wall>The Cooler Labyrinth WallI'd love to see how they'd animate it under the influence of things Sword&Shield or Ojama Country, where the 3000 atk then come from and how it attacks.
>>22223818The past 3-5 years have been peak Pokemon TCG derangement, so I don't think it's ever been nearly as bad. I think it was only last year or the year before that they had another promotion in Japan and that led to mountains of Happy Meals piled up in the street, forcing them to cancel the promotion only a few days in.
>>22223808Well I would specify that they have no trouble selling the cards for profit because they’re a meme right now. They cost basically nothing to print and then they can sell them all over the world for inflated prices. They absolutely do sell less of their new shit than their old stuff when it comes to anything other than the cards. You can see on the website that pretty much 100% of their gen5 and under merch is constantly low or out of stock. If you want the stuff representing the new shit, it’s always there in all sizes. The pokemon company is the biggest IP in the world, I’m pretty sure. They never technically have trouble making money, the cards prove this and they could release a good mainline game any time if they really wanted to. The issue is that TPCi has always wanted to make money a very specific way. And nobody is generally big enough or willing at all to push back against that way. McDonald’s maybe could which is why I typed out my silly tirade. It would take that level of wealth and consumer influence to get TPC to move their feet at all.You have to remember that this is a company of very uppity Japanese business men. ALL the executives want to leave some kind of mark on the IP as part of their legacy, especially masuda, so we have a bunch of gigaretarded shit they’re basically refusing to change because a bunch of old faggots want to treat a cartoon IP like politics
>>22223647Because I’m not actually interested in eating fast food kek but I’m sure there are some I’d like>lemonades based on water pokemon. Especially with reusable cups. Poliwag blueberry is where I’d be at. Followed by lotad kiwi>big item clamshells that open like pokeballs. Maybe different types of ball. Nice enough plastic that you could wash it out and set it somewhere I guess>physical toys that are not fucking cards>some kind of sticker entry sweepstakes like monopoly>a mini dipping sauce with a flavor for all 13 types. There’s a lot they could do with the food too if they felt like it.
>>22223326This shit should be regulated by the gaming comission its essentially gambling for children, and manchildren
>>22223329They did it in Japan with a special pikachu mcdonalds card and people were buying happy meals and leaving them uneaten on the sidewalk.McDonalds Japan had to publicly apologize for causing a nuisance and causing people to waste food. That being said I don't think McD US would care.
Real Pokémon trainers wouldn't eat McSlop.
>>22224290They have an inscrutable and therefore bulletproof legal disclaimer.
>>22224471We eatin' good this month, homeless bros.
>>22224471Americans and Food Waste, is there anything we're better at
>>22224267>They absolutely do sell less of their new shit than their old stuff when it comes to anything other than the cards. That and their games, which is a sad reflection of the fanbase. I don't really disagree with anything you're saying though, pokemon is a great example of the meme of old japanese business heads refusing to step the fuck out of the way. It's romhacks for me for the foreseeable future until they finally pull their heads out of their asses... if that ever happens.
>>22224625I would forget to post my most thread-relevant pokemon picture in my response.
>>22224612Guns and being assholes for no good reason.
>>22224625I have some minor bits of optimism about wind and waves. The region isn’t my favorite theater for the idea but I did see some news about them taking their time this time (lol as if) but also hiring shitloads of biologists and ecologists to help with the project. It was a big initiative and that’s hopeful to me. I’m still not going to pre order but maybe I’d buy it if it turned out incredible.Pokemon was what got me into ecology and animals and just nature in general to a large extent. If the pokemon company doesn’t want to release products that appeal to me that’s disappointing but ultimately fine. It’s not a chapter of my life that can ever close, really. I love animals and plants too much now. I have 25 tree frogs to take care of anyway right now. I didn’t expect all those tadpoles to live.
>>22223343Like they'll even make it into the happy meals.
>>22223326Reagan would PUKE if he saw this
>>22224659Yeah, I'm always open to a new game being good but I'm never holding my breath. Maybe Wind/Waves will be a good entry, I'm probably getting a switch 2 for the new 2D metroid game so if it's decent then I'll be pleasantly surprised.
>>22224659>rse was peak>s&m was peakWater regions are always good
>>22228181Hard disagree on both accounts. RSE is widely regarded as one of the lamer maps due to all the water.Archipelago shit is gigalazy map design. Everything about SM had you blocked into small little areas with barely a patch or two of grass. Yeah, I get Hawaii is small and crowded and that’s why it’s a fucking lame location for a pokemon game. Now we’ll get another archipelago where each island is a cute little individual biome instead of a coherent map design.
>>22223326my local ramen place started selling kiddie meals with pokerman cards years ago.didn't work. it still mostly attracted drunks and some college kids who actually love the ramen.i don't know why they even tried. maybe nintendo offered them a good commission.
>>22228252>>>/vr/but Gen2 is still best Gen. the endo.
