Have anyone tried mayonnaise banana sandwich before? I first came across it as a joke, but later I learned southern americans used to, and still do it. I tried it for myself and it wasn't bad, I wouldn't go out of my way to make it but it's fun to make ocassionally I reckon. Now I wonder if there is anything to improve it like softer/sweeter bread or buns, different mayo types if there are such.

Nobody Southern eats this. If you meant South Americans, like Chileans and Brazilians, I'd believe you.
An actually good thread died for this. I was going to post about chicken soup: https://youtu.be/yWYTIGunM0Y.

Nah I don really fuk wit Mayo

Never and likely never will though that probably is a good flavor and texture combination. Peanut butter banana is more nutritious and filling with a similar texture so if I’m making a sandwich with banana for whatever the hell reason I’m going with that.

If you don't like grilled cheese with ketchup, you aren't white.

This looks like it needs cinnamon

It might be bullcrud, but I read online somewhere that it originates from the times of great depression when people needed cheap affordable nutrition so they put just about anything on bread, including bananas.

people during the great depression had good enough taste to not do this even when they were starving, they'd at least toast the mayo

>people during the great depression had good enough taste
no, they really didnt. they tought their kids or for some reason didnt teach them at all to cook without any type of seasoning spice which led to the "yt ppl cant cook" meme in america.

apparently george droyd was amazing at "cooking" mayo and banana sandwiches so a certain demographic seem to enjoy it anon.
