Pecan pie is one of the world's great pies when done right and the humble nut is indigenous.>>22227999No shit, he's asking the subjective opinion of the people who visit the thread, you pedantic retard. Did you need that spelled out for you?
Chain food? Probably roadhouse. Food in general? Take your pick. Any of the bbq regions, any of the pizza regions, soul food, Texmex, Calimex, authentic mex, I prefer Florida’s twist on things nothing beats shrimp n grits to me or a legit Cuban sandwich.

I recently ran out of hot sauce only to discover my brand actually seems to barely exist outside of America and my local supermarket was only selling it for a whileWhat's similar that I might actually find on a store shelf in australia? or should I pay a premium to get it delivered
Frozen vegetables. I moved south of the border and that's what I miss the most. They're neither as common nor the varieties as vast in Baja as they are up in Alta (California).

>>22227993In the USA, anything under a corp is out. It's going to be "homemade", which includes family-owned places or food trucks. Personally, I think it comes down to grilled and smoked meat/bbq. It also happens to be the one thing that can't be half-assed and made fast, so chains can't provide it at true quality, so they rarely even try to have it on menu. This means the sanctity of that food type is not regularly sloppified like 90% of everything else, so it goes right to the top in general.
>>22227993Merica, we like big sandwiches ...
>>22228272>Onion vs. ChickenMaybe if they made a bloomin chicken
we have cheese absolutely figured out. in some places finding weird shit like monterey jack with morel and leek is something you'd only find at a specialty store you go out of the way to get to and pay out the ass for, meanwhile i just drive to the store around the corner and if they don't have it i drive another mile and the next store has it.
mom made a lamb roast with potatoes
>>22228174these are called "Mexican style hot sauce" and any Mexican style hot sauce will have a similar flavor profile. Valentina is by far the best but cholula is alright as well. Just look for a Mexican looking hot sauce with the same color and consistency.
