I made Pasta e Piselli (Pasta with peas) using this guy's recipe:

I added some chorizo. It was fantastic.

Easy beef kimchi jjigae

Beef shank
Onion
Garlic
Dashi
Kimchi
Red pepper flakes (gochugaru)

Fry beef and onions in oil for a bit until beef is slightly browned.
Add garlic, add water and add dashi powder then bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until tender, then remove center bone and cut beef.
Add kimchi and red pepper flakes and simmer until everything looks soft and tender.

I do this all the time and eat it with rice. I like adding oyster mushrooms, green onion and Korean peppers (Serrano peppers are a good substitute).

I don't cook because I'm not poor or a woman.

Pounded out chicken breast, lightly floured, pan-seared, rested, topped with bacon bits and provolone, broiled until the cheese was properly browning
Baby broccoli, cut up and the stems blanched before roasting them all
Pearl onions, blanched/peeled/split, roasted with the broccoli cut side up
Roasted butternut squash hummus plated underneath the chicken

The hummus was the part that I was the least sure about and I ended up needing to put more on there because it tied things together so well in the end, which I was very happy about. Overall it came out very nice.

I make pretty much the same thing quite often
>>
250g mixed frozen vegetables, 200g chickpeas
fry as hot as your stove will go in 25-30g oil (evoo is tastier) and add 6g salt and 3g msg if you have it
while frying get a cup or something and mix 50g tahini, 25g lemon juice, 1.5g salt, 1g garlic powder, cumin, paprika, and 50g water
once the veg is browned and the chickpeas are crispy turn off the heat and mix in the sauce
wrap the resulting slop in two tortillas and fry in the same pan (you have a silicone spatula to scrape it clean with, right?) with a tiny bit of oil
makes two servings (or one if you're a fat fuck)

Made lamb pilaf/pilau. I watched 4-5 online recipes and freestyled it.

Basically cooked the lamb in a bit of beef lard until golden brown, bloomed some bay leaf, cumin seeds, red paper flakes, tiny bit of canela and a few cloves in the fat on low. Then put a lot of onion and carrot in, cooked that for a bit. Then dumped the lamb and basmati rice (3-4 times rinsed and 30 min in water) and topped it up with half water half beef stock (water was 2 cm above the rice).Cooked for 30 mins lid on the lowest heat and then another 30 mins off the heat covered with a towel and a lid.
>>
>>22231601
btw after cooking the lamb I took it out to cook the onions and carrots. It was 3 big onions and 3 big carrots. Forgot to mention the bulb of garlic at the center which was put right before I closed the lid.

https://www.howsweeteats.com/2017/08/thai-pork-chops-coconut-rice/

Made this the other day. Fucking delicious, one of the best things I've ever cooked. It makes enough for four, I toned down the recipe a bit because I was eating by myself. In the future when I make it I think I'll let the sauce cook a bit more before pouring it into the skillet with the pork chops, because I let a small amount of it keep cooking while the skillet was in the oven, and it ultimately reduced down to this insanely tasty concentrated sauce.

I did not make the coconut rice recipe that comes with this, mostly because I was out of clean cookwear. I'll have to try that some other time.

That's a West African stew called Maafe.
I've been meaning to try it. I have heard it is very delicious.
I would probably use chicken. The other ingredients are similar to curry, so I think it would taste similar to Indonesian peanut satay sauces (also very delicious)
I have a jar of 100% peanut butter that has been waiting for a recipe. I'm gonna make Maafe!

grilled cheese with tuna and avocado

bread
the fake american melty cheese
tuna
avocado
butter

combine and put on a skillet and brown. i hadn't had grilled cheese with the american stuff in years so it was great to have again. 4 of those filled me up for the day and without being bloating since all the salt is in the cheese.

fried ramen
take any packet of ramen, use the noodles only
cook the noodles for one minute less than the directions say
drain
heat oil and add noodles
spread them out into a thin layer
let them sit for 2-3 minutes
using a plate or superior technique to flip them, fry the other side for another 2 minutes
add soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, dark soy, whatever you would add to fried rice or generic asian dishes
stir to separate the noodles and mix with the sauce

It's delicious. It's definitely a slop bowl, but there's lots of good flavor in it. Adding some fresh lime and orange zest right at the end really makes it pop.

Pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy. I have never measured anything for this meal.

Pork chops:
2 thick cut pork chops
lawry's seasoning salt
garlic powder
onion powder
cayenne pepper
black pepper
flour
peanut oil

Blot the chops dry with paper towels. Season the chops. Roll them to get seasoning on all sides and edges. Press it in gently.
Dust them with flour.
Oil in your pan. Heat to medium. Add chops when the oil is shimmering. The sizzle should not be dramatic. Cook on each side ~4-5 minutes. Sear the edges, brown the fat cap. Remove from heat when they hit an internal temp around 155F and all sides are crispy. Set them aside to rest while you make gravy. Ideally on some kind of small rack over a plate in your oven on the keep-warm setting, if you have that.

Gravy:
Remaining oil from cooking pork chops
flour
room temperature milk
Same seasonings from earlier.

This one is trial and error and I can't teach you the technique. Add your flour to your oil in the pan while it's still hot. Mix it into a paste with the oil. Cook on low-medium heat for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Slowly add your milk. Like a quarter cup at a time. Stir in between each pour. The flour will puff up and look chunky and wrong. Trust the process. I smash the chunks with my spatula. Keep stirring and adding milk until it looks like gravy. Let that cook for a few minutes. Stir it again to check the texture. Add milk if it thickened too much.
Taste it. It's probably going to be bland. It definitely needs salt. Stir in the same seasonings from earlier to your preferred taste. I add lots of black pepper.

Mashed potatoes:
You can figure this one out. I don't do anything special. It's potatoes milk and butter.

You can't see from the photo, but on top of the rice, there's some shredded cheese, then a big lump of sauerkraut on the side, then the white sauce is just mexican table cream, with the onions on top. I can eat on this for a week. Glad it looks good, thanks anon.
>>
>>22233574
forgot to mention- cook the gravy on low-medium heat. closer to low than medium. you just want it to simmer.
>>
>>22231383
Grilled pork chops, pounded from 1.25" to 1", perforated, dry rub of
granulated onion
granulated garlic
salt and pepper
paprika
brown sugar
Charcoal grilled, pulled at 145° (I was drinking, overshot my 140° goal)

With it we had roasted new potatoes, microwave 90 seconds, coat with olive oil and salt, air fried until 200°.

Wife made a salad with lettuce, walnuts, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese. Homemade vinaigrette, I don't know how she does it, but it's awesome.

I'm the grilled guy, and my wife grew up with pan fried most of her life. I've been thinking about working up a pan fried version and I was looking over the other guys run down before I even posted mine. I think I'll steal it, the mashed potatoes sound good, and I might throw in some cooked apples as well.
