>nice sequential numbers.
Theres a new holiday pizza out that has you sprinkle the candy corn on top of a pepperoni pizza.

people pay for this....
>>
>>22232671
I wonder what the average weight and IQ is of the kind of person who would order that.
>>
>>22232666
I don't understand this reddit meme. Clearly there's a market for it, they sell it every year and haven't gone bankrupt after all this time. Personally I think it's fine. I don't eat a whole lot of candy in general, but I'll usually have a handful or two of candy corn throughout the Halloween season.
>>
110/110
>>
>>22232689
I think it's more one of those things that gets bought because people just always done so and its specifically tied to Halloween.
I think as more old people die off it will fade away.
>>
>>22232689
>I don't understand this reddit meme
the "reddit meme" is all the people pretending they dont like them because it's trendy to do so.
>>22232666
they're neat because they layer the colors individually by hand but you should buy an ad you stupid brachs fuckass fag.

banana flavored runts are the worst candy I've ever had. I also hate most lemon candy.

I actually really like candy corn provided you get a proper brand like Brach's and not chinese dollar store shit.

I can't eat a lot all at once but a few candy cawns a day is just lovely throughout October. i love that heavy waxy texture and the burst of sweetness
>>
>>22232754
Do you toss the whole piece in or nibble? I like to bite off each color (even though it all tastes the same)

I normally toss a couple in and chomp them. I don't bother with portioning or nibbling although I distinctly remember doing that as a kid

I'd say it's a three-way tie between candy corn, Jordan almonds, and these fucking mint nonpariels.

I absolutely loathe all three with a burning passion.

Now this is some shit taste. The artificial banana flavor is based on a better tasting banana variety than what's commonly sold these days.
>>
>>22232666
I have never tried this candy before, how does it taste?
>>
>>22233115
Hershey's chocolate has that undercurrent of vomit owing to its butyric acid. These candies are waxy-textured and have that same undercurrent with the dominating "flavor" being sugar.
>>
>>22232666
>>22232866
I like both of these.
>>
>>22233094
Tootsie rolls, smarties, and dots. You don’t need shitty candy corn.
>>
>>22233115
>>
>>22233115
kinda waxy in a nice way, like honeycomb. flavor is sugary with a rich undertone, less nutty than brown sugar, more maple-y than corn syrup, but not as extreme as maple syrup
>>
>>22232739
going to steal this take to infuriate others in the future

they old Belgian treats which you won't find at supermarkets at 7's-11 but they end up in weird import shops and any dedicated candy store. they're addicting and not very sweet
>>
>>22232666
little kids don't like them, but adults find them charming in small amounts. reflect on that, op

There was a big candy factory in the city I grew up in. It was only a few blocks away from one of the huge main street commercial districts.

There were big valves on the back of the building and tanker trucks used to park at night and connect huge hoses to the valves and pump in something. The whole block the building was on used to stink of mint and chocolate.

Anyways when I was a teenager my friends and I would drink and smoke weed in the semi industrial city block dead zone around the factory and if someone we didn't really know was hanging out with us and they were fucked up we'd convince them the tanker trucks were pumping liquid chocolate into the building and we'd get them to lick the valves on the building to taste the fresh chocolate. The trucks weren't pumping chocolate btw.

I'm serious. It was a Junior Mint factory and its still in operation. The cops came once right as a kid was licking a valve and the headlights lit him up while he was crouched over the valve like a vampire. We all laughed and scattered and he got arrested for trespassing.

>>
>>22235085
That's how I feel about it. It's not the worst but I'm not crazy about the texture and it's sure not worth the shit that people charge for it.
>>
>>22235085
how do you know what kinds of candy random people in your city are going all in on
>>
>>22232666

>>
>>22235161
Only 500k live in my city so anything out of the ordinary gets gossiped about. The husband runs a table at one farmers market and the wife runs the other one. They also set up at any event that allows vendors, though recently I've seen them alot less; and they dropped the market I go to. Trendy food can make in impact but it's not a good long-term investment in a shit economy.
>>
>>22235046
these were always included in a mix of candy my grandma would keep out at christmas. they would all fuse together but sometimes you'd get one with a really nice flavor.
>>
>>22232666

I used to like them as a kid, I'm just not into sweets anymore. Regrettably I'll admit that I've stolen at least a dozen bags of them during my childhood. That's just candy corn btw, I stole a lot more other candy. Not because I didn't have money, but because the money my parents would give me was on a debit card that they would check periodically. I was a sugar junkie and they would stop giving me allowance if I spent it all on candy.
>>
>>22232666
I like them. But they're slop so I stopped eating them years ago. But I miss eating them. I also like smarties, another one people don't seem to like.
>>
>>22235453
it's not made from actual ænal excretions anon (although about 150-200 years ago this would have been the case). They're made with mint oils and rosewater and shit like that. It's reminiscent of wintergreen, especially them weird pink Canada mints from the New England Confection'ry Company

Good ribbon candy came in trays that kept the pieces from sticking together but my granny would never serve anyone from a plastic tray, so the candy went in a nice decorative glass bowl where all of the candy would fuse together into a giant lump if not eaten right away.

Hated these as a kid. One or two would have been ok but each year more and more people started handing them out until close to half my haul were those peanut butter nasties. And they were impossible to trade because everyone else got too many of them too.
