The best spaghetti sauce
>>22239803I go for Prego. I like the little recipes they have on the jars.
>>22239803GROWING UP TOUGHTHEIRS ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMSBUT HERE'S WHAT CHA DO WHEN THEY HIT ROCK BOTTOMEAT RAGUCAUSE GROWIN UPS TOUGHEAT RAGUIT'S MORE THEN ENOUGH
This was my favorite in my spaghetti eating days.Or I'd combine Classico Mushroom & Black Olives + Italian Sausage & Green Pepper
>>22239982>my spaghetti eating dayswhat happened
>>22239803this was the one I used to have back when I was first starting out living alone and didn't know how to cook anything. I felt like it gave me some veggies at least. haven't seen it on shelves in years though
>>22239984I don't eat that shit anymore.
>>22239987Why not?
just throw some crushed tomatoes and tomato paste and seasonings in a pan while the pasta cooks and you'll get something that completely mogs any watered down jarred sauce for like half the price
>>22239803Maybe for the price. Paesana is best but for what you pay you’re not really eating pasta anymore but enjoying sauce instead
>>22240078too much sugar
For me, it's this cheap shit
>>22239803>gf is prego>we like to get kinky anyways>one night things get particularly saucy>i'm sticking my noodle in her when i notice weird chunks coming out, so i turn on the lights>wtf it's red everywhere and she's obviously not on her period>i look up at her, she's got a glassy, jarred look on her face and she's not answering>ohshitohshitohshitohshit>i rush her into my car and speed all the way to the hospital>she's still bleeding everywhere>by the time we get there, she's not bleeding much more, but all color has drained and she looks colorless and almost transparent>oh shit, she looks like she's in a vegetative state>storm into the emergency room, carry her to the nearest doctor and explain everything>he takes one look at her and says>"sir, i'm sorry, there's nothing we can do">"WHY THE FUCK NOT??">"we don't operate on empty jars of spaghetti sauce">mfw

>>22239803I guess you don't have Dolmio in America yet
>>22240300Not very creative, gives away the punchline far too soon and the punchline is not very funny anyways.2/10, my official pasta rating
>>22240314that pasta's like 15 years old, if not more
>>22240300The best pasta for the sauce debate
>>22239803homemade
The most frightening ad for sauce I've ever seen.
>>22241650they even gave it the right number of fingers
>>22239803>The best spaghetti sauce
>>22239803>>22239982>>22239986based ragheads
>>22240309I’ve never seen it but maybe it’s available in the northeast
>>22239971>Prego discontinued the ricotta sauce It was literally their best one too
>>22239803>old world style>when tomatoes were new world cultivars literally considered "Spanish" because the Spaniards were the only fucks who figured out that if you eat them before they rot you don't shit yourself>when the style of the sauce is literally just tomato paste and sugar>when an actual ragu has some fucking meat in itthe BALLS on these fucks to convince my dad this was the end all be all sauce until I started convincing him to branch out into "fancier" sauces which were just sauces that weren't entirely puree, then making our own marinara. Fucking Ragu, holy shit it's so so bad. I still eat it sometimes to remind me of how cloyingly sweet and homogeneous it is, to feel something, to feel alive.
>>22239803The choice is clear.
>>22241650>There are a lot of other good ways to please your family and your purse with Ragu Spaghetti Sauce.Scandalous>>22243856What kind of sauce is your dad’s favorite now?
>>22243866why did people care about how thick the sauce was?
>>22244417From what I remember seeing the ads in the early 90's, they were marketing Prego as being more natural than Ragu by having a chunkier and less runny sauce.
>>22244444well runny sauce does suck. once got this sauce from Aldis and it was the most watery runniest shit.
>>22239803I go for Classico now. Sweet Basil is just a superior tomato sauce, and their alfredos are all really good
>>22244444yes i saw that TED talk by malcolm gladwell too.
it's a good talk, i think i'll revisit it since it's been a while
i hate chunky sauces and start gagging when i get a big chunk of tomato in my mout so when i make pasta it's either with a store-bought alfredo. or i make vodka sauce with tomato paste.
>>22244500Runny sauce is misunderstood. The good thing about it is that it cakes onto the pasta once everything cools. Preggo sucks anyway. Del Monte is better and cheaper.
>>22244516just twirl the pasta lmao. not that hardRao's is the goat tho
