My name is Tony, I'm 31, and today I made spaghetti sauce for the first time ever
>>22240210no man named “Tony” has ever waited this long to make spaghetti sauce. you’ve probably been doing this since you were 3.
>>22240210i'm liking the amount of meat in there, very nice
>>22240218i'm also in my 30s, my middle name is Anthony, and i have never made sauce
>>22240210What you gonna do with the sauce, Tony?
>>22240210hi Tony how are you today? how was the sauce?
>>22240210How was it Tony? What did you serve it with? What would you do differently the next time?
>>22240225>>22240302>>22240306I'm alright, I ate it with spaghetti but the sauce was lacking flavor. It was good but I feel it wasn't as good as it could be. I used a chatgpt recipe which called for a tsp of Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and black pepper. I put a little salt in as well. It didn't have that much flavor though, I destroyed the food though. Any tips on how to give it more flavor, make it tastier?
>>22240324More salt. Fresh garlic. Make sure the mince is browned. Use decent tomatoes.
Looks like a slop o' shit, Tony.
Hello Tony and welcome to /ck/ welcome yes.
>>22240324>I used a chatgpt recipe See this bs? It's already happening. People are retiring their own brains to AI. YOU'RE the one with the tongue. You know your own tastes. Just cook the damn meal using your own God-given faculties. I saw some shitbird on IG teaching people how to use chat GPT and your phone's camera to READ A WALL CLOCK with all the confidence and self pride of someone who felt like he made a groundbreaking discovery.SUBHUMANS. LITERALLY.
>>22240324i like using bouillon instead of salt, more savory
>>22240210'ey lookat Tony over here makin' his own meals, good job Tony.
>>22240339recipes on a lot of websites are already AI generatedif you're going to complain about this at least recommend a cookbook or something
>>22240324>Italian seasoningWell there's your problem, you need to dump in some oregano, rosemary, and basil. I use a hell of a lot more than one teaspoon, never measured it out though. Just try not to use "too much" because then it gets bitter.
>>22240210good for you retard.
>>22240210>31>still has the shitty walmart nonstick pans he bought while in collegei'm sorry, i don't care what you're cooking but i won't be caring at all for it
>>22240520literally just filter it to before 2022 or 2020 you fucking retard
>>22240324You used too much onion, Tony.
>>22240324Tony, I'm glad you tried it out. The beauty about cooking is that if it turn out how you like it, you can always adjust it so that you do like it!Maybe you want more Italian seasoning!Maybe you want more salt! (This is usually the case when things don't taste "flavorful" enough)Maybe you want more spice! You can always try again and adjust the recipe to your liking. Happy cooking Tony, I hope your next try goes more to your liking.
>>22241074Sorry I left a word out, I meant to say if it didn't turn out.The rest still applies though! As long as you are enjoying it and/or have fun eating and/or cooking it, it's worth it.
>>22240324How much oil did the recipe call for? Agree with >>22240330 that you probably need more salt.Definitely good effort though, I hope this first isn’t a last.
>>22240324>Italian seasoning>garlic powderSounds like you used MooliGPT.
>>22240339lol what a retard. everyone laugh at the retard.
>>22240324Tear some fresh basil over the finished dish, and add grated Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano.
>>22240210it's not cooked down enough.just fyi for the future.
>>22240210Lol Tony. That is some watery sauce. Add some fish sauce, salt and/or sugar plus cook it longer to concentrate the tomato juice. And also use tomato paste, a must in my sauces.Have this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkPjD3UrYxEI tried and it's legit. The hard part is to leave it in the oven whole freaking day to simmer to oblivion plus stiring once in a while and adjust seasoning on the way.
>>22240210Bump for congratulations. Lose the "italian seasoning" and get containers of oregano, basil, rosemary. Grab some whole peppercorns, while you're at it. Fresh-grinding pepper makes a world of difference.
>>22240210Are you, like, one of those Mexicans named Tony instead of an Italian?
Good effort TonyWhat you want to do though is get your pasta in a metal bowl with a bit of the water you boiled it in, then you add some sauce and toss it, you want to get the pasta evenly coated in sauce. Then you twirl and plate itDon't just sloppa da sauce on top of the spaghetti
>>22240210Just moved out of nonna's house, eh?
>>22240210Congratulations on your sauce.
>>22240210random toni reporting in:I made spaghetti sauce a million times, and never used carrot. I always wondered, why does every recipe asks for carrot?wait, you guys do mean bolognese sauce, right?
>>22240210Congratulations. You will never go back to that shelf-stable sugar water bullshit in a jar ever again.
