This is like a fucking YOYO, up and down, Doritos shouldn't be 7 bucks a bag.
>>
I've started just buying Walmart brand great value chips because they're literally half the price as name brand and just as good. doritos can go bankrupt for all I care.
>>
>>22240738
Do they have flamin hot ones?
>>
>>22240734
>get bought because you're cheaper than meat
>start charging more than meat
>??????
>>
>>22240734
lmao

> Doritos shouldn't be 7 bucks a bag
idk corn is rlly rare and valuable
>>
>>22240734
>Hey boss, no one is buying our $7 bags of chips!
>>Lower the prices then! They don't cost us but $1 per case anyway
>Boss, great news! Our chips are selling at levels we haven't seen in years because I lowered the price on them!
>>We're leaving money on the table! Now that they're hooked raise the price again!
>Boss, no one is buying our chips at $8 a bag!
Of course they will just try to blame it on Iran. We all know corn doesn't grow in the USA.
>>
>>22240795
aluminum tariffs are up 50%, why do you think antipersperant costs like $12 a stick now
>>
>>22240837
ummm you aren't supposed to use antiperspirant because of the alunimum anyways
>>
>>22240837
>using antiperspirant
Enjoy your bloated armpits.
Aluminium... Which has what to do with fucking plastic bags? You should have at least cited diesel prices. Either way, I'm getting tired of all this winning!
>>
>>22240734
I'm an utz man anyway

>>22240845
That's more nonsense from the same tards that suggest replacing seed oils with tallow and taking ivermectin for cancer
>>
DIE IN THE GUTTER YOU DISGUSTING BLOBS
>>
>>22240847
Aluminium in antiperspirants doesn't cause cancer, but it can fuck up your pores and cause bad inflammation, depends on the person. I have to use deodorant, obviously aluminum free, which is also free of parabens, dyes and baking soda or else I get awful burns/tender pits.
>>
>>22240734
Eat the Feed Piggy
>>
>>22240847
ummmm just don't get cancer, dumbass
>>
>>22240738
I'm with you ever since I started shopping at Aldi years ago. A chip is a chip, not much variance between them (but fuck Aldi for randomly oversalting Clancy potato chips a year ago)
>>
>>22240851
The general anti aluminum trend is from dumb stinky hippies and MAHA tards if you have bad reactions to it it's different it's like the actual celiac disease people vs gluten 'intolerant' dorks
>>
>>22240880
Ah true but said hippie idiocy did let me watch a hot college girl I worked with at Starbucks rub lime slices on her stubbly pits in the BoH a few times. Fuck I wanted to suck those limes after
>>
>>22240863
I bought a bag of chips in michigan once from a regional brand I forgot which but the bottom of the bag literally had a pool of grease

>>22240759
flamin hot is trademarked I'm pretty sure so store brands will literally never have the official flamin hot flavor. they have spicy chips but it would be illegal for them to make flamin hot chips.
>>
>>22240902
Are you implying FritoLay slop isn't some of the greasiest on the market?
>>
>>22240923
I could have poured the oil out and fried an egg in it. It was an actual pool of oil.
>>
>>22240928
Well why didn't you, wasteful bastard?
>>
>>22241286
nacho cheese and ranch are the best flavors and I would wager account for like 50% of all doritos sales. the real best flavor was salsa but they discontinued it.

honestly I don't eat dorito type chips much anymore I'm more of a kettle chip guy and occasionally BBQ, salt and vinegar, or cheddar and sour cream regular or wavy chips. Herrs kettle chips often go on sale for 3 dollars a bag at my local store and then I'll grab some horseradish cheddar kettle chips.
>>
>>22241300
I buy the stuff I enjoy and have always enjoyed. I have little interest in trying new flavors unless it's something uniquely interesting. Most of the "new" flavors are shit they discontinued then brought back with a slightly different name or in same cases literally the same name and same flavor. I'm also underweight so I buy a lot of junk food to try to gain weight or at least avoid losing more weight. So the notion of having junk food around and becoming fat doesn't apply to me.

I dunno what a certain tribe is thinking.
Name brand snack got too expensive. I'll only buy them when they are reduced
>>
>>22240734
>Doritos shouldn't be 7 bucks a bag.

It costs $2.24 USD for a 300g bag in my country. One of the local brands is slightly cheaper and better though.
>>
>>22241310
>I'm also underweight so I buy a lot of junk food to try to gain weight or at least avoid losing more weight.
If you are underweight your definition of a lot junk food is not a lot in reality.
>>
>>22240734
Wow it's like these retarded jewish MBA grads only have a single move and thats raise prices
>>
>>22241496
The tribe only lets people they approve of be in charge thus why they all do the same tactics. So many brands are started by well meaning white men but after decades of new CEOs, new owners and becoming publicly traded that all lose their way
>>
Flamin hot Doritos are so good im addicted
>>
>>22240734

The pita chips they have at Aldi's BTFO the fuck out of Stacy's pita chips and for cheaper. Aldi's does however miss the mark on some items like the frozen taquitos. Worst frozen taquitos of my life. It was 90% tortilla. I'm not really eating much processed food in general because much of it is total shit in every metric (price, taste, quality, health) and very few ultra processed foods have even 1 redeeming quality to it.
>>
>>22241957
>tfw no aldis
I love pita chips so I’ll have to try theirs next time I’m near one
>>
>>22240734
I only get Dollar store knockoffs. If those are too gross for you consider it a motivation to quit junk food. Spending a lot on snacks is insane to me.

If they keep using art like this I’ll gladly pay a premium

Food companies desperately want to get in on personalized pricing, charging each customer based on what they're willing to pay. They can't get away with that due to SNAP, which requires everyone pay the same price if the place selling it accepts food stamps, which pretty much every food retailer does.
What companies are doing now is working with stores to have constant "buy x, get y free" promotions. Lots of people never look at sales papers or even notice shelf tags. Poorer people pay more attention so when there's a "Buy three, get three free" promotion on something, the higher income people miss out because they're not paying attention at that level while poorfags jump on that shit.
>>
Maybe the company should cut the money spending on adverts especially when wasting millions for a 30 sec superbowl ad.
Why do these big companies need to advertise? I pretty sure everyone knows what Coca Cola or Doritos are.
>>
>>22244872
it's not about buying advertisements for themselves, it's about buying advertisements away from potential competitors. companies burn billions/trillions to avoid competition. every company buys out competitors or merges with their competitor. google had a long period of time where they spent billions keeping useless techies on payroll for years so that there were no techies to compete against google. in better times, america would still be enforcing anti-trust laws and all of these companies would be forced to stop this.
>>
Good, unhealthy snack food should cost more because of the society cost they cause. If you are too fat to afford your cheese dust chips, then you don't deserve to have them.

This is MAHA.
>>
>>22240734
I never notice prices anymore.

What's stopping them from using wax paper bags?
>>22240847
>>22240880
Nah, the science™ already says excess aluminum consumption through food and topical usage causes dementia

It's why soft drink cans have plastic liners
>>
>>22240734
>Buying doritos
Just buy generic brand corn chips.
>>
>>22245080
The plastic liner is so the soda doesn't eat through the metal retard
>>
the bag doesn't need to be made of aluminum
honestly I'd rather it be made out of a biodegradable paper or whatever
the chips will go stale anyways and if you're lowering the price because it's a cheaper bag then it'll move enough volume that it's a non-issue
>>
>>22245153
Why not aluminum foil?
