What is the most pretentious free trade, organic, vegan, black pepper I could buy?
I got you bro
>>22240746Floor sweepings from the pepper factory.
>>22240748that's not how factories work but some dastardly shit probably happened on the 3rd world pepper plantation
>>22240746Is there a point to this
>>22240743Order your black pepper from oaktown spices. I got a few different kinds and the pepper is incredibly good quality.Favorite is the late harvest peppercorns. It has flavors of raisin/dried fruit, caramel, molasses atop a more delicate pepper heat. Their tellicherry smells powerfully potent, and the long pepper they stock is also delicious. It's like a mix of clove, nutmeg, and a citrusy pepper. Very unique and they looooong.I got a variety of spices from them and they were all exceptionally fresh and potent.
>>22240844I think they're just trying to spice things up. But just ended up as a cheap date.
>>22240844my dad bought me an assorted peppercorn medley thing like that once and I honestly never noticed the difference. granted I'm not big on black pepper and mostly use it when it's called for in a recipe.
>>22240852Interesting I'll check it out
>>22240852How much? I always wanted to try long pepper but I don't trust the sketchy Indian sources on Amazon.
>>22240852the first result for black peppercorns is from India lmao I'm not paying double the price for spices that came from the exact same place as walmart spices
>>2224090510 bucks for 2 oz. >>22240910Do you understand how sourcing works? Do you really not know the difference between these and walmart peppercorns? All the spices I got from them were remarkably good quality. They also have peppercorns from different countries if you're going to remain a bonehead. The mexican oregano I got was like trying a new spice altogether the quality was so much better than the trash I normally get from the mexican market. Same with the turkish bay leaves and hibiscus.
>>22240743>nonono, the game is at the pepper level, who cares about the other ingredients anyway?
along with commie genocide black pepper is also something cambodia excels at. try and hunt down some of their kampot pepper.
here ya go
>>22240956>>22240910yeah never buy shit from indiaworst products everworse than China somehow
>>22240852>long pepperI was going to post that.Have fun grinding it though, you basically need to pull out the mortar&pestle every time.
>>22243369I chop them into peppercorn-sized pieces with a chef's knife and mix them with my other peppercorns. They grind fine afterwards.
>>22243369I broke mine into smaller pieces and my mill worked reasonably well for it. The M&P is better tho.
>>22243389>I chop them into peppercorn-sized pieces with a chef's knifeThey're pretty hard, is that good for your knife?I snapped them into pieces with some pliers and they could be ground ok.I tried crushing them on a board to put them in a grinder but they just went everywhere, that's a bad idea outside the M&P.I have a weed grinder which can do it but it's a bit awkward because it doesn't entirely close with the long pepper in it.
>>22240743I think its just no name pepper from superstore in Canada, but the peppercorns my uncle has are fucking amazing.I've never found a spicier black pepper and it grinds so nice.
>>22243401Tellicherry is generally considered to be the spiciest pepper. The good stuff I got smells almost too strong. Like it's an essential oil. It's weird. The pepper itself is superb once ground.
