habaneros taste like shit and ruin the flavor profile of the whole dish. i'd rather use literally any other pepper

/pepper/ thread I guess

habaneros taste like fruit. you use them with citrus or in sweets.
>>
I agree, but with CHIPOTLE.

absolute ass

Habeneros are perfect in pineapple salsa
>>
what is to be done about the epidemic of mild jalapenos on the market?
>>
>>22240783
you are getting the ones with weird scratches on them, arent you? it's not a foolproof trick but it seems to work 9.9/10 times.
other jalapeno hotness superstitions:
>short jalapenos
>pointed tip jalapenos
>jalapenos with black patches
>>
>>22240783
use Serranos instead.
>>
>>22240770
>jalapeno but smoked
You got a problem with jalapenos?
>>
>>22240768
yeah this. habaneros are the best pepper because they're fruity. OP is just a fag
>>
I have never had a habanero that wasn't just straight up flame taste
Jalapenos and Serranos are more vegetal, but because I don't enjoy acid reflux and bloody asshole, I tend to stick to poblanos.

People discovered that insanely hot spicy food is there to cover up for the fact that the meat is extremely low quality, cooked like dogshit, and more than likely spoiled, since all the "spicy" dishes in the world originate from absolute destitute shitholes.

Chipotle is good for a few bites before the smokiness becomes too prominent and monotonous.

>People discovered that insanely hot spicy food is there to cover up for the fact that the meat is extremely low quality
what about insanely hot spicy food that contains no meat?

i still remember almost a decade ago when i was cutting habaneros without gloves. my hands burned for a day afterward, glad i didn't touch my penis
>>
>>22241035
It could still be extremely low quality, cooked horribly, and spoiled.
>>
>>22241065
that could be true at any time for anything
>>
>>22240761
no the only pepper that does that is bell peppers
>>
>>22241067
It's true in particular of regions with a reliance on spices, IE; Anywhere south of the United States of America, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Africa. Places like China and Japan which proclaim to "love spice" are nowhere near as spicy as the shit I've had from those other regions.
