or is it another conspiracy to raise the cost of food and living?

nah
>>
>>22241699
Applied pie is the best because it's healthy
>>
>>22241699
Who knows who cares. We memed see oils to be bad so lets meme this to be good
>>
>>22241699
Had a Kazbar for the first time recently. Pretty legit.
>>
>>22241699
Out of all those id go with ding dong. The name is funny and I like the shitty waxy texture of the chocolate
>>
Worse for you than the legitimate ingredients they replace but they're cheaper (not for you but for the company owner)
>>
Just don't eat a lot of it or the products containing it. That's it.
>>
Zebra cake rolls
>>
>>22241935
this.
with any of these kind of "bad for you" ingredients, if you are consuming enough product containing them for it to be an actual health hazard, then the sneed oils or whatever are the least of your concerns. having some shitty processed cake once every now and then is not going to kill you, but they shouldn't be a regular part of your diet, let alone something you binge eat.

really you will be totally fine so long as you eat a reasonable amount of calories, a balance of carbs and proteins, and at least 75% or so of your diet is whole, unprocessed foods. the average person doesn't need to worry about much more than that.

Those all seem so unfresh. I don't like any of that packaged shit.
>>
I mean it's illegal so unless you plan on getting partially hydrogenated oil on the black market it's not really something you have to worry about
>>
>>22241965
Nowadays bakeries always sell fritters that are totally overfried. Drives me nuts.
>>
>>22241839
How does one apply pie?
>>
>>22242177
I apply it to my mouth, amply.
>>
>>22241699
Think about how bad something has to be for it to be illegal in even cheap processed food. It clogged arteries worse than anything else and is still killing tons of people every year where it's allowed.
>>
>>22241699
Yes.
Mass market products need to be cheap, profitable. Healthy is not a concern.
>>
>>22241699
It's just another form of trans genocide, Anon.
Trans fats? To the gas chamber with the landwhales.
>>
Guys will whine about sneed oils and red dye but say nothing about environmental deregulation or consumer protection reductions. Slurp that tallow.
>>
>>22241699
These things are genuinely disgusting and have such a weird, artificial taste to them.
>>
>>22241699
I don’t like the oils that need to be highly processed or are from things not usually eaten, but I especially hate the mouthfeel of palm oil, leaves an awful residual
>>
>>22241699
>HoHo
That's a Swiss Cake Roll, idiot.
>>
>>22242586
Hoho is the Hostess trademark, Swiss Roll is the Little Debbie trademark. We need an anon who's an expert on snack cakes to weigh in on which is superior.
>>
>>22241699
ROCK THE KAZBAR
ROCK THE KAZBAR
>>
I hate zingers so much it's unreal
>>
>>22241699
Why do they always have to be partially hydrogenated
>>
>>22241965
>My homemade processed oil, white flour and sugar is better than the one at this store.
>>
Probably

cutting processed oils hasn't really affected my cost of living
>>
>>22241699
>conspiracy to raise the cost of food and living
They don't need to invent a conspiracy to do this, that shit just happens.

They were always my favorite but they were better back when they were foil wrapped. Pretty sure they were bigger then too.

Leaf here. I need to ask: why are snack cakes such shite in burgerland?

A few years ago, I bought a hostess cupcake and my friend had a look of disbelief. I didn't understand why until I ate it. Here in leafland, they have a decent cakey texture and even some real cocoa taste. In the us, it tastes like pure.. nothing, which in a way makes it kinda disgusting

I wish the fda could have standards. I also wish you burger bros could try these delightful cakes from vachon (½ moons are crack, I kid you not)
>>
>>22245163
leaf here, our snack cakes are garbage too. it's all overly processed, disgusting junk. I haven't had any of the US versions to compare them, but if they're even worse than ours that's seriously impressive.
>>
>>22245163
>>22245257
Seconding that Jos Louis fucking suck and the chocolate tastes like wax.
>>
>>22241965
This but unironically. Every snack cake in OP is in effect the same. Mediocre tasting and unsatisfying as hunger abatement.
>>
>>22241839
You know what they say about an apple pie a day?
>>
>>22245163
the fda has very high standards, all the fake shit companies use has to be reported exactingly
>>
>>22241699
>Ho Ho
Those are dogshit. The little debbie swiss cake rolls on the other hand are GODLIKE
