>>22241801I got a local pickle shop that does okra and string beans, so fucking good. No need for me to pickle my own stuff when I can just go here. I wish they had asparagus though

I just do quick pickles for jalapenos.Slice them up and fill 3/4 of a jar. Then I boil half cup water, half cup vinegar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar.Pour over the jalapenos and seal. They keep in the fridge for over a month.I also do this for cucumbers and carrots
>>22241809Have they ever said why they don’t do asparagus?
>>22241801I one timed picked some cucumbers with dill, mustard seeds, pepper, garlic and some mint, it came out decent and somewhat refreshing good for a summer day. Other time I pickles graded beets and carrots with the usually combo, dill, mustard and pepper, it was ok but when easiting it you would sometimes bite into a peppercorn. I plan to pickle a turnip, with the usuall brine.
>>22241801>unseen garlicThat's my second-favourite kind! Unsmelled garlic would be my first, if only it existed.
>>22242815do you at least like the taste?
i bought field cucumbers (burpees) to lacto ferment them with pickle spicesbut it turned out disgusting, the slices of cucumber were mushy and the pickling spices mix disintegrated giving a spoiled taste to it.

>>22242826I knew perfectly well OP meant "garlic that is not visible in the photo"; I just found it fun to think about undetectable forms of garlic for a moment.I love garlic.
