>>22243143>does anyone actually like sauerkraut?It's great on bratwurst.There's an amazing Northern Chinese soup called Suancai Yu or Saurkraut Fish.It's a kind of vinegery and peppery soup with some sort of sea fish like Sea Bass, boneless is best but not exactly traditional.Loads of saurkraut and some kind of seaweed I think.The original used pickled mustard greens but that was the Sichuan version which I haven't had, the Northern version is based on Saurkraut which probably came from Russian cuisine or maybe a Russian version of Kimchi, it's from that part of the world anyway.

Genuinely curious OP, is it the cabbage or the vinegar that gives you the runs? Like can you eat pickles or tabasco? Never experienced any of this and have been told since childhood that sauerkraut is good for the digestive system.
