>someone snacks on a piece of food you're prepping>"HEY HEY THAT'LL BE FIVE DOLLARS"never gets old
>>22243608I always liked the meme where the line cooks gave the hot waitresses free food but I never got any because I'm an ugly weird man
>when you bait the new guy into getting his head in the boiling vinegar sauce to smell it
I've found that is kind of a bell curve where the worst and nicest places i worked were really strict about eating but at the kind of nice place that didn't have any notions about greatness let me do whatever I wanted
>>22243610if you worked in my kitchen I'd feed you every day. I'm sure you're a beautiful person, anon.
>hot behind!
>>22243608You're not allowed to snack on the line. That's a serious health code violation and I would report any coworker I saw doing that.
>work for little columbian lady>ask for almost literally anything anytime>ten dollars! -holds out palm-then she'd laugh. we both never got tired of it, god i miss her

fuck you and your cringe "humor" in the kitchen. i fucking hated cooks like that when I waited tables. I don't need a fucking comedy set every time I need a plate of food for someone shut the fuck up before i report you to ice.

>>22243608When I first started as a dishwasher I got sent to a restaurant a block away to borrow their bacon stretcher. So I went and played along, when the chef said he didn't have one I asked him if he knew of someone who might because they really needed it, he sent me to another restaurant, repeat a few times. Spent an hour wandering about on a nice summer evening and even got some free food from a chef who approved of my exploiting the situation, he told me to ask my boss if he could borrow a pasta churn and they sent me back with a ticket carousel. They all thought it was hilarious how gullible and naive I was, even the other dishwasher who had to pick up the slack while I wandered about enjoying the night. They repeated such things for awhile until I finally got caught reading in the basement after I got sent down to find a banana extractor.
>>22243944in germany you should go get the 'caraway seed splitting machine'(Kümmelspaltmaschine)
>>22244233yeah wouldn't expect a plate delivery device to have any real skills or knowledge
being the quiet dishwasher that doesn't have a radio going and finishes shit fast without complaining.
>>22244215>apprentice >twice the other guys ageYou sure showed him with that intellectual thinking.
