Does anyone have a perpetual pasta sauce? Every time I make pasta sauce I take what's left and freeze it, then the next time I make sauce I throw it in the new pot. I've been doing this for years.

>>22244913I do this with pizza sauce, I'll keep it going for up to 3 months, but it's wise to break the cycle at about that point. You can keep going, as you already know, but I don't like that thaw/freeze over and over thing. To much weird food safety shot can happen, and I've got kids. Not in the mood to deal with diarrhea for two days for no good reason when I can just use up what I have every 2-3 months and start fresh.
