all squash is 99c each at the local market. been getting bigass butternuts to make soup out of. there's acorn and spaghetti squash too, not sure what to do with them though. not interested in mock pasta.

Did some roasted butternut squash soup this year after avoiding them for years and as I expected, it was a delicious ingredient that had been waiting for me all this time. I've got a bunch extra cubed and frozen after breaking down a big one that I'll be making dishes with this season.
