And it doesn't matter what you say.

>But it uses special bread!
So do other sandwiches

>But you cook the entire thing at once!
That doesn't make it stop being a sandwich. A panini or Cuban are also sandwiches.

This is cheese, meat and tomato served on bread. It is a sandwich. The final nail in the coffin is that pizza variants using standard bread or a baguette exist and these are also considered pizza and not a distinct dish.

Pizza is not a sandwich and your thread is immature and faggy.
>>
>>22249347
Nah, that's a pizza
>>
>>22249347
Or, have you ever considered that a sandwich is just a closed face pizza?

closed face sandwiches
>>
>>22249381
a closed sandwich would be the humble calzone.
>>
Odd, I looked at the sandwich section of a few pizza places menus and pizza was nowhere to be found. Curious.

Yeah or a Stromboli.
Americans call them "pizza rolls"
It's a pizza in sandwich form
>>
>>22249347
If you go to a pizza shop and order a pepperoni sandwich, they'll tell you to order something that's on the menu or fuck off. language is is only useful if we can agree on what the words we use symbolise, otherwise everyone would be talking gobbledygook like you, op, and civilization would crumble. Is that what you want?
>>
>>22249410
Also called pizza pinwheels. The local place where I am cuts them first then sets them in a pan like cinnamon rolls and calls them rondos. You can get them with pesto as the sauce, and they're pretty freaking awesome.
>>
>>22249347
The concept of an "open faced sandwich" is nonsense anyway. Everything's fucked.
>>
>>22249347
It's a burger because it's round.
>>
>>22249347
No? We all have a definition of what is a sandwich. Are you regarded? What's next, calling the color green blue because "who knows"? Fucking retard tranny.
>>
>>22249347
Take your meds
>>
>>22249387
Meat filled pastries are pastries though. A pizza clearly is not a pastry.

What if I told you the McChicken was an open faced sandwich? This is a dangerous game you’re playing, you have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.
>>
>>22249486
That's a taco because it has shredded lettuce.

>And it doesn't matter what you say.
Fair enough.
You can call it whatever you'd like, but SOCIETY may also apply their judgement.

Pizza has a long established history and stands APART from the Sandwich.

The Sandwich was created by John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, and he specified the construction:
>roast beef between two pieces of toasted bread
In the US, a Massachusetts court in ruled in 2006 that a sandwich includes at least two slices of bread[1]

So YOU can a dick between 2 slices of bread!

Enjoy your evening.

>This is an open faced sandwich
it is.
what kind of fucking weirdo would argue that it's not?
>>
>>22249410
>Americans call them
oh, anon.
do i have so many things to tell you.
calzones are different than strombolis and both of them are different than pizza rolls.
>>
>>22249486
nope.
there is no face open on it since a sandwich only has one face, the flat top part.
the bottom is the foot.
the part sticking out the sides is the belly.
>>

>SOCIETY
not a real thing and therefore always irrelevant.

By the same logic, any pie is also a sandwich. Bread, or bread-adjacent material encompassing meat and cheese and tomato = sandwich. If I decided to make a "shepherds pie" style dish in a pie crust or dough consisting of meat, cheese, and tomato, and possibly other ingredients such as onion and bell pepper, I would be making a pizza, thus, an open-faced sandwich. Would that be correct, OP?

In a similar vein, would tostadas consisting of meat, cheese, tomato, and possibly other ingredients be considered (open-faced) sandwiches by your definition? Are tacos sandwiches? Chili-cheese dogs?

WE MUST CONSULT THE CHART
