This is supposed to be garlic herb and cheese sauce.
As you can see: it is not.

This thread is to stand as a lesson for anyone who thinks they can substitute milk or half-and-half for heavy cream in the recipe.
You cannot.
>>
you definitely can sub milk for cream. it looks like you added too much acid and it curdled the milk and made cottage cheese. can also happen from heat if you don't temper it.
>>
As I type this post I am currently working on saving it.
It's not worth it, bros!
Just do it right.

Can you define what "tempering it" is in this context?
I'm retarded.

Gaze upon the abomination I have created. Imagine this draped upon your chicken Alfredo

tempering is removing liquid from the pan and adding it to the milk to raise the temperature of the milk closer to that of the ingredients in the pan so that the thermal shock doesn't curdle the proteins. you can also just heat the milk up in another pan or probably the microwave. Basically just not temperature shocking it.

It has become its own thing at this point. Honestly tastey but definitely not what I was going for.
>>
>>22250123
you made flavored cottage cheese

My brother's a picky eater. He'll be the judge of whether this was a success.

I am very drunk and incapable of forming a correct opinion.
>>
>>22250133
You shouldn't be serving that to other people, pretty sure you are literally breaking some kind of health and safety law at this point
>>
>>22250135
My brother tells me it tastes too strong and perhaps burnt.
He has no interest in trying it as an ingredient for anything and he also called me a drunken retard.
It's okay I guess.
>>
>>22250139
I'd mix it with sour cream and then scoop it up with chips. If its too strong just mix it into something.
>>
>>22250139
he was correct to call you that
>>
>>22250139
If it makes you feel any better he was one word away from 'drunken master' and one number away from 'drunken master 2'
>>
Try dabbing it that shit looks fire

You had the heat too high and your sauce split.
>>
>>22250108

>>
