Best recipe format.
This format doesn’t work if ingedients have to be combined in different batches. How would you express making Hollandaise sauce in this format?
>>22250842>1-1/3tf's that supposed to mean? 1 to 1/3? 1 1/3 i.e. 4/3?
>>22250842but where is the blogger going to write 1000 words about the weather outside the kitchen window while her husband is out making money
That is not a 3x5 note card.
only retarded foids think this is a good format
>>22250880It means 1 minus 1/3 therefore 2/3
>>22250880>1-1/3>1 minus 1>divided by 3>0/3 = 0It’s a flourless recipe, retard
>>22250880Common core really did a number on the kids huh.
>>22250880You're overthinking this. It says cups, plural. So it means one AND three quarters cups of flour.
>>22250987why - and not &
>>22251001Mixed numbers are written without an intermediary sign so neither would be correct.
>>22250842where on the spectrum are you exactly?
>>22251311In the profound retardation category.
>>22250842let me lightly beat your bussy
>>22250842The ideal format is listed in order of what you need to do because that is how you will actually cook the recipe, then write the ingredients in a different color or with a small mark next to them so you can easily scope out what you need before you start the recipe.
>>22250842looks autistic
>>22250842I gotta say that this is LIGHTYEARS better as a reference than the lengthy text of a traditional recipe.I love this logical format.
>>22251533This takes up far more space than a traditional recipe would of the same content. Giant amount of wasted space there.
>>22251535>This takes up far more space than a traditional recipeSpace is not the primary issue.Easy and rapid comprehension is.Traditional recipes require more effort to properly parse.
>>22251536>Traditional recipes require more effort to properly parse.sometimes i forget retards exist.thank you for reminding me.
>>22251535>>22251537Ignore the shitposter.
>>22251536This is easier to understand, easier to follow, and takes up about a fourth of the space. Narrative format is best for things that are meant to be done in order because you yourself will be doing things step by step when you are cooking. You just like the boxes.
>>22251550You do you. Some people, like me, find the less verbose Table format more logical.Obviously, you do not.
>>22251555There's barely any more words, retard. And I only added those so you wouldn't bitch like a mindless retard "oh uhmmmm ANON where are you mashing these" like a dishonest fag even though your recipe does not clarify any of that either. But you want fewer words, here, parsed down to 3 more total words(out of 50+ and many numbers) and it's still far more clear as I wrote there than your recipe format is.>some people like me want less clarity and more space taken up in a format that will become tortuously painful to read with any recipe that's complex at allI see that.
>>22251565>blah blah blahTime for your yogurt douchebag.
>>22251570Concession accepted. The format is dogshit and that's why nobody uses it, not even you. Don't forget how I raped you any time soon.
>>22250852Just have the exact same chart but stack the seperate batches ontop of one another id say.
>>22250842>no percentagesit's shit
>>22250842It has potential. I feel it needs to be worked on more.
>>22250842>worst recipe format.correct
I normally just read the ingredient list. cooking method, estimated time. most of the new recipes I try now days are just different ingredients. same methods
>>22251550This lol. Only issue is your font is smaller than theirs, but even then it's still way smaller. People just have literacy issues that they should actually fix
>>22250880i think it was trying to say 1 AND a 1/3 a cup but in wanting to maintain the simplicity they instead made it more confusing
