Why is it so revolting?
>>
>>22250886
I never understood the broccoli hate. People say it's bitter but I've never noticed it to be bitter
>>
You're revolting

it is an amazing vegetable. you dingus. you waste of air
>>
>>22250888
sucks if it's cooked poorly. my mother always used frozen and cooked it until it was mush. i only eat it roasted, best shit on earth.
>>
>>22250888
Your taste buds change as you develop. I remember when I was a kid, I fucking hate broccoli. Now, it's probably the most common vegetable I eat.
Also, yes it should be cooked properly. Steamed or roasted are some of the easiest/foolproof ways to cook it.

>girl
>has to bring date for office functions
>me
>always a broccoli platter there
>with ranch
>never liked broccoli
>until then
>go to office event
>eat all the broccoli
>have broccoli salad
>oh my.. this shit is bomb
>now broccoli addict
why is broccoli so good with ranch dressing?
>>
>>22250983
brockely isn't good for a date anon because you get the tiny little buds stuck in your teeth and it gives people the ick
>>
>>22250886
Because you suck at pretending to be a triceratops
>>
>>22250886
Not enough sauce.

nice choice but it has unfortunately been mogged
>>
>>22250886
When preparing, make sure to slice all the way to the base of the stem so that you're not wasting anything and you get more delicious broccoli.
>>
>>22250886
It's one of the best vegetables, soaks up all the sauce and makes you shit real nice the next day.
>>
>>22250886
What are you, 12?
>>22250958
Also this, your tastes change as you get older. I used to be an exceptionally picky eater as a kid but now I'll try just about anything twice.
>>
>>22250886
when?
>eat it raw
>dip it in salsa
>dip it in salsa con queso
>steam it
>saute it in butter
all these taste great.
>>
my kids like broccoli
>>
>>22250886
>two heads of broccoli
>grate on a cheese grater
>place in bowl
>chop velveeta brick into cubes
>place cubes into bowl
>stir bowl
>pour into casserole dish
>crush up ritz crackers
>use as breadcrumbs to make top crust
>bake at 300F until cheese is melted and it's golden brown
you now love broccoli.
>>
id say youre an oversized child but even as a kid these were good so youre just a retard at all ages

because you have the palette of a 4 year old with low functioning autism who also happens to be a sexual abuse victim

i hate the stalks
>>

>People say it's bitter
either these people grew up with fastfood, or they have the supertaster gene which makes this shit revolting, most likely their tastebuds got fucked by fastfood/ultra processed food.
>>
>>22250886
>cut broccoli in small flowerettes
>dice red onion
>chopped bacon
>yellow raisins
>chopped red bell pepper
>salt and pep
>greek yogurt
>sour cream
>spoon bacon fat
>mix and fridge
We made this salad at the deli I worked at, best broccoli salad ever we used as a add in for a salad but i would take it home and eat it as is. now i need to go to the store..
>>
>>22250886
it's an unopened flower.
>>
>>22250888
>People say it's bitter but I've never noticed it to be bitter
your a tastelet. you have no sense of taste and smell.
>>
>>22250886
Depends how it's cooked.
For the past couple weeks I've been eating a bowl of broccoli every day because of paranoia over a parent having cancer.
Preheating a pan and frying for around 3 minutes significantly improves the flavor while keeping most of the nutrients intact
>>
>>22250886
sulforaphane smells bad
>>
>>22250886
You're supposed to cook them, you idiot.
>>
>>22250886
if you genuinely think broccoli is bad you probably came from a fucking retarded upbringing
>>
>>22251580
Americans are disgusting and can't cook.

Or, later in life, they've decided they have autism and have sought out a diagnosis for it. Which allows them to view all good healthy food as weird, alien, dangerous.
Poisoning themselves with highly processed fried bland junk is a way of "being accommodated"
>>
>>22252185
Could just be in my head but if the broccoli is old I’ll sometimes pick up a bitter taste

>>22252219
Sounds real good

my moms husband is like this
he trusts mega corporations like Pizza Hut more than a better product from a local pizza shop

you can't make cheesy midwestern broccoli rice casserole without broccoli.
>>
>>22250986
Filtering mechanism. If a chick is gonna dump you for having broccoli in your teeth after a meal, then you dodged a bullet. You'd never want such a girl around your stock portfolio or firearms.
>>
>>22250886
It's the best veg out there, especially when you pair it with caulifliower.
>>
>>22250886
That's not a carrot
>>
broccoli is fine but I stopped buying it because I cannot think of any common meal to use it in
>>

see >>22252637
these are common as fuck. get it together.
>>
>>22250886
>Why is it so revolting?
I'd guess it's because you've been eating a diet of seed's oil fat and HFCS.
>>
>>22250886
Vile weed.
>>
I love it but my husbando hates it, might get some just for me
we cook other meals together but breakfast I cook just for myself- what are good brekkie brokkie?
>>
>>22254566
I only eat chicken and rice and eggs
>>
>>22254875
For me it’s cheddar broccoli quiche, if you have a Costco membership they sell a 2 pack of that and spinach artichoke quiche
>>

We need to have a test to allow posters to this board. I’m tired of seeing tastelets and children’s pallets, like OP’s.
>>
>>22250886
It's my favorite vegetable but I never had "spicy" fresh broccoli until relatively recently and that shit was disgusting. It smelled amazing though.
>>
It's literally the best vegetable of them all.
>>
Come to think of it I haven't eaten broccoli in years. What is it for again?

Some broccoli alfredo frozen dinner that I enhanced with additional broccoli and cheese and hot sauce. It was good. Broccoli rules.
>>
>>22255944
Love me sloppa casserole. Might try making it.
>>
someone taught me you just chop it up in chunks and drizzle in olive oil and dust in montreal steak seasoning and bake it or air fry it or whatever and its really damn good.
