No, but it is your solution.
Tomorrow we're putting you in the milk pot.
For reference, the milk pot starts off empty
>>
>>22252919
My girlfriend did this in front of me once (not with a perishable item) and I berated her until she put it back where it belongs.
>>
ever since they started making me self checkout i don't give a fuck. i don't put my items back properly, i don't put the carts back, fuck you
>>
>>22252919
That’s the one they give to the “shop from home” people
>>
>>22252943
based
if you have to do the work of a cashier you don't have to fill the shelves
>>
>>22252943
Why would you even pick up an item that you don't want to buy 5 minutes later? This seems insane to me
>>
>>22252943
>>22252953
If you fags were 40 years older you'd be complaining that the newfangled Piggly Wiggly expects you to pick the items up off the shelf yourselves instead of just handing your list to a clerk and that's why it's ok to engage in low-trust behaviors.
>>
>>22252962
they were right. i'm tired of working for these companies for free

Why do people hate self checkouts so much? I find them extremely comfy since i don't have to wait as much or interact with other people. Also makes stealing rather easy if you don't overdo it
>>
>>22252971
>Also makes stealing rather easy if you don't overdo it
pretty much every modern place now has cameras above the kiosk
>>

UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGAGE AREY
>>
Food is too cheap to steal. Maybe a Costco A-5 Frozen Wagyu steak imported from Japan, but anything less is pointless.
>>
>>22252976
Skill issue.
>>22252975
My Kroger automatically detected my avocados as avocados last time I used the self checkout. Creepy.
>>
>>22252981

>>

>My Kroger automatically detected my avocados as avocados
did you scan the barcode?
>>
>>22252983
>good
No, the baggies are much better than I am at it. I just know how to scan a barcode before placing it in a bag.
>>22252988
No barcode, just avocados in a produce bag. Placed them on the scale and it automatically rang them up as avocados.
>>
>>22252995
They had an Indian watching you on the cameras.
>>
>>22253000
Seems like it would be cheaper to use an image model
>>
>>22253001
That's just a guy in India filling out captcha type questions.
>>

Seems like it would be cheaper to have a multimodal model solve your captchas.

>Shit where you eat

It is your problem, what if everyone took a jug of milk and left it out? You're an asshole.
>>
>>22252919
I was gonna do that, then told myself not to be a lazy nigger
>>
>why is everything getting worse
>>
>>22252964
I think you people that use thing angle are genuinely just looking for any excuse to lash out in society.
>>

HAHAHA THAT'S WHAT THE YOUTUBER SAYS!! EPIC YOU ARE SO GOOD AT REPEATING WHAT THE YOUTUBER SAYS!!!
>>

which cart narcs video are you in kek
>>
>>22252919
I never do this because I am aware of the energy input it takes to produce food and hate wasting it.

One day Walmart is going to be able to track that shit probably and they'll just charge you.

Then again, it's probably more likely that the major grocery stores are going to hit a breaking point in the next ten-twenty years, and they'll just shutter their stores, you won't be able to go in and shop like you used to. You'll show up and either pickup everything like it's takeaway, or you'll order everything from a tablet. All becuase they want to stop theft.
>>
>>22252971
The nicer machines in large cities might work well but I live in a less populated area and the cheap self checkouts at every store around here malfunction at least 2 times per transaction.
>>
>>22252943
amerishits say stuff like this and then turn around and whine about muh "low trust society"
>>
>>22253444
Or take a picture and put it on the wall, a hall of shame for people who ruin perishables or don't put the carts back.
>>
>>22252971
At a local pharmacy they have these machines that talk to you LOUDLY and beep with every item and button press, also BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP to remind you to remove your card, while also talking to you to remove your card.
And want to buy a lighter or a pair of scissors?
It calls for assistance because they want an ID for that.
>>
>>22253517
At a local pharmacy they sell steroids without asking for prescription and give candy if I bring my kids with me.

The last thing i want to see is video of myself going about my business while i'm checking out. It's creepy as fuck having a trillion cameras and monitors surrounding you.
Also half the time they still need some underpaid worker to come over and do some bullshit anyways.
>>

Good on ya bro.
It's gotta be said that she exhibited bad character here...

It's actually low character society.
Trust is another level up, and built upon the aforementioned.
>>
>>22253565
I think he's trying to say that Americans show a behavior that show less trust and charater than pretty much other people show, then try to claim they are a special "high trust society", a shinning city in a hill.

It's fine they will just give it to your local tiger merchant
>>
>>22253560
So, do these people just leave them in the parking lot lane to be an obstacle for cars? I've shopped many places for many years, and have never seen a stray cart rolling around or in the vehicles' path. Maybe the Kart Kollectors are just that on top of it.
>>
>>22253571
>>22253480

then how about you sweep the floors for them too. it doesn't take long to sweep up a couple isles at the store they will even let you borrow the broom. you just walk all over the floors and don't even clean up the floor? wow that's really low trust you're so lazy
>>
>>22253763
It hurts because it's true.

This. Who the fuck goes to the supermarket without a grocery list of things you already know you want/need? Who is just wandering around picking up random shit?

>low-trust behaviors
Why are only corporations allowed to engage in low trust behaviors? What are you going to do when they scam you (literally, not figuratively) in your face and string you along towards some kind of "solution" that never gets reached?
>>
>>22252955
Different anon but I do that sometimes with food, usually stuff I want to eat but shouldn’t, or that I could make at home, like a loaf of italian bread or a multi pack of frozen pizzas. I always put it back though.

Since they added self checkout registers I never really have to wait in line anymore.

Even when I would go through a cashier line I would still help them by bagging some of the items instead of just standing and watching them. Probably have to consider at some point if you're just looking for excuses to do shitty things.
>>
cart narc shit is PEAK reddit
>>
>>22252919
I wont do this but i will shoplift overpriced bullshit when I can. Free shit lmao
>>
>>22253853
you are just too young to remember a time when super markets treated you like a paying customers. even bagging groceries used to be a given and only the most cheap shitty places made you "sack and save". hell they used to bring it to your car and help you pack in the trunk. now you're so raped that you think it's impolite to let a fucking paid employee do work for you.
>>
>>22253521
>thread made during amerishit hours

yes completely unrelated :)

I live in a reasonably nice area and everyone takes them to the nearest corral.
>>
>>22253891
>now you're so raped that you think it's impolite to let a fucking paid employee do work for you.
nah, i've had them thank me after doing those things and tell me not many people seem to care how they're treated.

putting some groceries in bags is raped, pfft
>>
>>22253891
You literally can just park outside now and someone will bring out your groceries and put them in your trunk.
>>
>>22253984
Imagine LARPing as a non-American. Only we say "cart." The rest of the world says "trolley wolley" or "bangshazzma."
>>
>>22253994
you can even get them delivered directly to your house for a small fee!
>>
>>22253713
>I've shopped many places for many years, and have never seen a stray cart rolling around or in the vehicles' path.
My first new car got smacked by one, when she was less that 3 months old.
That was close to 40 years ago.
From my observation, people are far LESS courteous today.

It's such a simple thing too.
