>only cuisine you can think of is putting raw fish on rice

>civilisation arrives from overseas
>steal ramen and gyoza from the Chinese
>steal schnitzel from the Austrians

>steal tempura from the Portuguese

Whats wrong with fish on rice?

Japan is the most American place to ever exist

Nothing

>steal
Where are you from? I'm sure it can be deemed that your country 'stole' various cuisines. Also, explain what this 'theft' actually means. You sound gayer than a twink blowbang.
>>
It's okay when Japanese do it
>>
>>22266768
why are you fantasizing about twinks doing blowbangs
>>
>>22268686
Where's the fantasy? Explain which part is a fantasy.
>>
>>22266768
I'm from America.
>>
>>22268738
Oh OK. Everything you eat is "stolen". Nothing original is from the US apart from abominations like hotdish and candied yams. Cuck.
>>
>>22266459
>steal
I hate retards like you so much.

Japanese cuisine is generally thought highly of due to the care they take in preparing and presenting the food.
>>
>>22266459
Isn't that true for most cusines? I don't see anyone admitting that Colombian exchange was essentially what made most modern day "great culinary cultures" what they are.
Imagine Italian, Greek, French, Spanish, Indian, Thai etc cuisines without tomatoes, potatoes and yams
>>
>>22268738
Yanks do not have a cuisine. They stole food from Europe and made it worse in every single way.

It's also consistently the most tragically disappointing when you actually taste it.

"Yanks" are just europeans. It's not as if they just sprouted out of the ground in America.

>>steal ramen and gyoza from the Chinese
this thing vexes me the most
While I'm not saying they stole the Gyoza (jiaozi) and Ramen (lamian), everyone is free to learn and improve, kaizen and all etc.
but eating pan fried or boiled gyozas and ramen are nothing but disappointment. Especially the gyozas
picrel btfo any gyozas the nip can make.
It has better wrapper, and the filling is more harmonious than nips' pork cabbage ginger flavour profile.
fuck, the more I think about this, the more mad I get. How? How could a nation known for good food and care have fucked this up so bad

dont forget the fried chicken

Please come to Japan.
There’s a much wider variety of food here.
However, since Japanese cuisine today is a blend of recipes from various countries, there are some dishes that even we Japanese don’t know how to classify.

"Japanese-X fusion" or "Japanese-X food". How hard was that, dummy? You're not the first country to do this.

Why are you so angry?
>>
>>22272227
There are a lot of alcoholics on this board. Anon is probably in withdrawal or some shit.
>>
>>22272227
Why do you think I'm angry? If I wanted to be mean/angry about it then there are a lot of nastier words people use on this website, like numbskull.

I'm just wondering which country I should say this dish originated in.

>A recipe for curry that Japan “stole” from a recipe that the UK “stole” from India.
>A recipe for Hamburg steak that Japan “stole” from a recipe that Germany “stole” from Mongolia.
>A recipe for a dish that came from the West, where you top it with cheese and bake it in the oven.
>Soft-boiled eggs
>Japanese rice
If I combine all of these into a single dish, which country should I say it originated in?

>While I'm not saying they stole the Gyoza (jiaozi) and Ramen (lamian)
Every Japanese person will tell you straight out that it’s “Chinese food.”
And when we teach that dish to Chinese people, they say, “That’s not Chinese food—it’s a fake!” And for some reason, there are restaurants in China serving fake Chinese food under signs that say “Japanese-style,” and the owners of the ramen restaurants in your country are Chinese or Korean.

We’re really confused—how are we supposed to explain our food to foreigners?

The curry is japanese in style, Germany doesn't own hamburg steaks, the west doesn't own cooking things in the oven with cheese, nobody owns soft-boiled eggs, and the rice is japanese in style. Sounds like it's just a japanese dish, maybe with some foreign influences if you're being intentionally obtuse for the sake of an internet argument.
If they've been doing something for long enough in their own style then it becomes their food. Japanese curry isn't like typical british or indian curries. If it's specifically a style of curry meant to be Indian in flavor profile and preparation then you get to say it's Japanese-Indian cuisine, if you're that desperate to be confused.

Hope that cleared things up for you.

fish on rice is goated though
>>
>>22272904
You’re absolutely right.
However, not everyone in the world has an average IQ like you, so I’m really at a loss.
When people yell, “It’s a fake!” I just reply, “Yes, you’re right,” but how am I supposed to convince someone who’s shouting, “You stole it!”?
> Shut up, you garbage!
I guess I have no choice but to say something like that...
>>
>>22266459
>steal
So the original nations don't have it any more? Because that's what stealing means. You absolute retard.
>>
>>22273354
Is it really right to say that it's "fake"? If you're not trying to say it's authentic italian/mexican/german/indian cuisine then I think people accusing your people of faking or stealing a dish are just losers. Your curry is japanese cuisine at this point, don't let people take that from you.
>>
>>22266459
Don't forget bread and confections. They stole those from France and China.
>>
>>22268743
Japanese cuisine is though highly of because it's trendy. Most Japanese cuisine outside of Japan bears no resemblance to the real thing. In Japan, most of the food that is actually edible is derived from overseas cultures that have far better culinary traditions than Japan, and most of the truly Japanese dishes are at best hopelessly bland peasant food.
>>
>>22266459
Fuck you you absolute automaton.
NEVER post AIslop ever fucking again. Final warning.
