Is it wrong to kind of want to go eat at fast casual places every month or two? I mean like at places where I can't quite make certain foods as good as they can? I get berated at times from my SO for wanting to eat out now and then. I don't want to go to those places because I'm lazy, it's because I can't cook stuff in that fashion well or it doesn't come out tasting like it does when I eat there. So is it OK if you do primarily cook and make meals at home to sometimes want to try eating out at other restaurants. Not fancy restaurants, just regular restaurants?
Yes. That's the responsible way to eat out. Restaurant food is made to taste good and rarely to me low saturated fat, low sodium, high protein, high fiber, minimal added sugars, etc. Those things make food taste good for less money. Eating out once or twice a month is perfectly fine.
>>22268960>I get berated at times from my SO for wanting to eat out now and thenShe(?)'s redpilled af, eating out and delivery are scams
>>22268962Alright. Thanks. I think eating out at places you can't do well yourself should be perfectly acceptable every now and then. >>22268971That's what she sounds like. Thing is, we literally bring in almost 280k a year and in all honestly it's something to do instead of looking at our telephones.
>>22268971>being poor is "redpilled" nowlollmao
>>22268960I only go out to eat if I'm craving something I can't do at home. It's usually Thai food or sushi. Last night I went to a made to order AYCE sushi place and tried some new pieces. Going out to eat monthly ain't a bad thing. It's a million times better than the people getting doordash or the likes multiple times a day.
If your anyone in your life berates you in a way that makes you feel bad and they don't immediately apologize or justify their position in a more constructive manner then you're in an unhealthy relationship. Friends, family, spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend. I don't care. Life is too short to be around people who make you feel like shit.
>>22268960Giggity.
>>22269082Shalom.
>>22268960she cute
>>22269120That is true i guess. Women however will take a statement like yours and make it out to mean "if anyone raises concerns with your behaviour at all theyre toxic and need to be cut out from your life."I think life advice should always have a little exclaimer clarifying what gender it is aimed at.
>>22269203I assume most people here are men and I assume if a woman is here they aren't exactly a normal woman. but yes I've made the mistake of giving advice to women and them taking it in the absolute worst possible direction
>>22268960>I get berated at times from my SO for wanting to eat out now and then
OP wants to get fucked.
>>22268960nothing wrong with it at all if you can afford it. I do this with nice, sit down restaurants, not fast food. but whatever floats your boat.
this isnt a genuine threadOP just wants (you)s
>>22268960>I get berated at times from my SO for wanting to eat out now and then. You’re talking about restaurants right? Is she otherwise okay in public? Sometimes people will pretend it’s one reason (money) when it’s really a personal weakness (like a phobia or anxiety)
>>22268960Tell your boyfriend you won't bottom anymore unless he shuts the fuck up. Imagine being this whiny and indecisive.
>>22268960>>22268985It doesn't surprise me that a fellow animechad is also making good money and self-actualized. Big thing is to not get lazy and fat doing it too much.Once every month or two is nothing, though something higher end than fast casual would provide a more interesting experience where you're more likely to get food and presentation that's annoying or unreasonable to do yourself.
>>22270059>something higher end than fast casual would provide a more interesting experienceyeah something interesting like domestic violence. OP would probably be dead if he got caught going to Olive Garden.
do whatever you want. This is hell we are in hell.
>>22270062He sounds fine with olive garden, nothing wrong with that restaurant but if he makes good money and it's something he only does a few times a year for an experience with his spirit-life-partner-spouse-significant-other that's hard to do well at home, then may as well do something a bit pricier that is a bit more interesting. Anime.
>>22270065I was totally out of my element until that anime kid tied it all together and made me comprehend. Thank you for helping my special needs.
>>22270067You're gaining wisdom. Embrace it.
>>22269130>I treat myself like shit to stick it to israel slava palestine!
>>22268985>280k a yearpocket fulla faces you guys is swervin
I wonder why off topic pol shit and i fucked your mom shit in every thread doesn't get deleted yet when I talk about imitation seafood casserole I constantly get random ban evasion messages.
Yeah, it's nice having money and she's a cosplayer but I often have to accept eccentric quirks from time to time. Don't we all? At least she is fine with my hentai and loves travel. In any case, it was/is a good thread and I thank fellow anime enjoyers for chiming in. I think I'll start negotiations and try a bit of a give and take from time to time. Talk about it a little more instead of just doing my thing behind her back when we are apart. Just would have liked it if we went to some dinky places or low brow places together sometimes.
>>22270100Shame is a great tactic of social control. Shamed into accepting that you can’t eat out, just maintain your virtuous toiling. You’re better for not eating out! Then shamed as being the downfall of the service industry when the economic toll of a shrinking middle class hits their stocks. We should always be toiling more to achieve the privileges we used to have. You should be striving for more money to eat out!
>>22268960Sounds like a bitch
>>22268960Slut
>>22270402Seafood casserole sound terrible. Hell I'd ban you over that too
>>22272189
>>22268960That attitude was acceptable pre-2000s, but now with private equity nuking quality across the board? Yeah, nah. You aren't getting quality from anything that is "fast casual", specifically chains. The SO is right and clearly cares for the both of you. If you want to abuse yourself, the freezer section has all the "fast casual" meals you could need, for cheaper, and less wagie handled. You should only ever be going to non-chain restaurants, and sparingly at that since they are expensive now. If you are going to a chain you WILL be scammed, there really isn't much of an exception anymore. Perfectly fine to go to proper restaurants to have date nights and such though.
>>22269120If you are placing cat shit into your mouth, it is objectively correct to call you out for that destructive behavior and to try to curb it via negative pressure. You are acting like a fucking child while an adult, you deserve being talked down to. Engaging in literal scams like a grandma puts you in the doghouse. I'm sorry, but that is just a fact of life. You aren't a competent adult when you fall for Private Equity Chain Slop scams. You aren't a competent adult when you use Door Dash and equivalents. The adults in the room will chastise you. If they even exist in your life. You are welcome to flee adulthood and responsibility - that is the standard leftists attitude - but it will only result in you being alone, in debt, and still a fucking child. Or you can accept that you are a child and grow up based on the wisdom the adults around you have bestowed upon you. Cook at home, only go out for dates and special events. Do not outsource a core life skill to lazy incompetent wage slaves. They will poison you (literally with shit lettuce and mold in the ice machine) and degrade your skills. Yes I ate my own applewood smoked pulled pork for dinner, I practice what I preach. I cannot buy that from the local BBQ. That is why you must cook for yourself. And store shit is not smoked at all, they put chemslop in it.
>>22269230>giving advice to womenWomen are accustomed to always being told they are right, even when they are dead wrong, and they have never developed any form of skin for criticism over their schooling years. So any amount of advice is literally like squirting lemon into their eye, it burns and blinds them, and of course enrages them. Men of course, don't have that luxury, so usually can take a little bit of heat. But there are of examples of sheltered men who cannot ever take a shred of criticism too. Hard to find IRL, but the internet does reveal the rare to us (Pirate Software if you need a goto). >>22270014Even if she's a NEET, that is still a win. Way more likely to stick with you than a normal woman. I'd say allergies are WAY more likely overall - chains and restaurants suck ass at being safe if you are actually allergic to shit. And that drives a need to not go out for food regularly. Lest you die from a stray peanut or some shit.
>>22268985>we literally bring in almost 280k a yearIt's genuinely insane then that you're not eating out every other day at minimum then. At that level of income the time/effort saved from not having to prep or clean shit for a quality meal is more than worth it. The fuck do you plan to spend your money on otherwise? Dropping 10K a year on eating like that would be more than reasonable.
>>22272683I'm just always taken back to when I tried to give a woman relationship advice to stand up for herself in her relationship and she took that as advice to cheat on her husband and ruin her marriage
>>22272700It's insane that I am not? Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to blow it anon.
