Its not even up for debate panda express is the best fast food option, decent portions and well priced with fairly fresh food.
>>22271387I would agree but mine isn't drive-thru so I just don't go
>>22271404also we used to have a drive-thru Chinese takeout that I loved but they moved to a strip mall location and lost like 95% of my business
>>22271387Every mom and pop Chinese restaurant in every town is way better than the Panda
>>22271408Maybe 10 years ago. They're all frozen sysco slop now.
>>22271408>>22271580Yeah I don't think that's the case anymore. I've been to a couple local chinese takeout or teriyaki joints and sometimes the qual is very low. Yet these places usually charge more and rarely give more portions than Panda.
>>22271710The quality at my favorite local place just took a nosedive.
I go to panda for the new brisket, its very good
>>22271387This place is horrible. It's like a chipotle, but for asian food instead of mex.
>>22271404I get anxious in public too but having one of these on makes me feel more comfortable in my own skin
>>22271746Its better than Chipotle they actually give good portions
>>22271759>yes, may I please have a beef and broc-AND ALL THE MONEY IN THE FUCKIN DRAWER
I always forget they invented orange chicken and it's not a Chinese thing at all
I respect Panda Express for the simple fact that the founder/owner never sold out to private equity and never took any investors. He did it all himself and still owns 100% of the company. That's probably why it still hasn't went to shit. The day you see Panda sell to a Private Equity firm, you might as well stop going.
>>22271387>print money by making average orange chickenbros, why aren't any of us also rich? we could totally do it better and cheaper
>>22271803They invented it, just invent a new dish nobody has had and start a shop
>>22271806purple chicken
>>22271387>decent portionsfor ants.
>>22272207‘da’press portion sizes ain’t too bad desuif you live in fear of not getting full, having an egg roll on the side should get you right
>>22272213Post receipt please, and cite general area.I know that it's not the Golden Age any longer (early 90's) but that's my best evaluator as to portions.I used to get a General Tso's entree (from a family owned restaurant), and the chicken pieces alone would have filled 2/3 of that Tray. Then a huge portion of rice and broccoli and Wonton soup + tea + fried wontons$10 in 1994 or so
>>22272314>$10 in 1994 or soIncomes have tripled since 1994 so that's the equivalent of a $30 dish today.
>>22272325Get fact checked, faggot.
>>22272339"Real" means adjusted for inflation. Did you mean $10 in 2026 dollars in 1994? I assumed by "$10 in 1994" you meant $10 in 1994 dollars in 1994. The FRED graph you want is median personal income.https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/mepainusa646n
>>22272325Two things:1. The Purchasing Power of each dollar has diminished a lot (all products, but especially Food)2. OTHER household costs have risen tremendously, and thus "eat up" more of that income as compared to 1994 or earlier:RENTSInsuranceEnergyMedicalTaxes (especially Property)t;dr: we have lost ground
>>22272339>>22272342Following up on this: you're not retarded enough to think the average family was pulling in $65k in the mid 90s, right? Because you'd have to be extremely retarded and innumerate to believe that.
>>22272342>I assumed by "$10 in 1994" you meant $10 in 1994 dollars in 1994That was me.I posted >>22272314 and >>22272344Yes, I meant Nominal.
>>22272349That's good. Sorry a guy who doesn't understand graphs tried to help you with a graph.
>>22272353>Sorry a guy who doesn't understand graphs tried to help you with a graph. He's not really wrong, however. If anything the CPI adjusted or "Real" dollars actually understate the real inflation.Every Household cost has gone up, dramatically, since 1994, including the home, as I said in>>22272344
>>22272363But you were talking about nominal dollars. Everything we've done is with nominal dollars. Why are you talking CPI adjustments? Also his graph disagrees with your additional claim - it shows that real incomes have gone up. >But the data's fake!Don't cite it then.
>>22271408fuck no kekIt is all the same frozen slop. Panda is just cheaper
Do they have tofu dishes? I hate Chinese restaurant meat. I always get tofu instead of meat because I can trust the tofu and I know it isn't full of tendons and fat and gristle.
>>22272365>Also his graph disagrees with your additional claim - it shows that real incomes have gone up.No it doesn't retard.Try reading and absorbing the import of my replies first1. The Purchasing Power of each dollar has diminished a lot (all products, but especially Food)2. OTHER household costs have risen tremendously, and thus "eat up" more of that income as compared to 1994 or earlier:RENTSInsuranceEnergyMedicalTaxes (especially Property)More of your Real Income is being absorbed by Expenses other than Food. That makes a $30 dish today, much more "expensive" than a $10 dish in 1994
