what's your favorite food?
>>22272007Macaroni and the cheese with herby garlicky crispy crust baked in the oven
Chili. I love it but I can't master it. I love trying everyone's different chilis to the point I'd probably be a good judge.
>>22272012What's your scope of chili look like?Beef, chicken, pork, veg?Red, green?Tomatoes, tomatillos, both?Beans?Do you put cheese and/or sour cream on it?What about sides, do you like it with cornbread?
>>22272007Some bitch asked me this q the other day and it’s kinda fucked me up that I don’t have a real answer. Like should I? I mean I love pizza, I love tacos, I love pasta, I love fish and chips, but do I need a fave?? I feel like I do. Feels bad man
>>22272007prizza
Good beef and potatoes in any form
>>22272013I really improvise a lot depending on the store and what they have. For example my last chili was>ground turkey because beef was like double the price>green bell pepper because they didn't have fucking poblanos>onion>garlic>rotel, the cilantro lime one (mince up the tomatoes a bit because I'm still picky about tomatoes>eyeball chili pepper, chipotles in adobo, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, threw in some mustard, dunno if it did anything, cumin, a bay leaf>chicken stock>black beans and some kind of chili beans towards the end >controversially throw in frozen corn at the endI dunno wtf it is but it's chili. I don't care if I'm "wrong" about ingredients, I like all chili.

>>22272025Dang you weren't lying, that is improvising.I've added in bell peppers before but never as the main pepper. How did it come out, was the flavor unique? The corn is a great addition, I started doing that and it's fantastic.
>>22272028It was pretty good. I forgot to mention I threw in a diced jalepenos and some of the vinegar from pickled jalapenos. Also threw in some coffee grounds. It was good.
>>22272007It's difficult for me to pick a favorite but I think I'd say it's something simple and cozy like a nice bowl of beef stew with some crusty homemade bread on the side for dipping purposes. You can't beat that on a cold evening.
>>22272016my honest answer would be that leg of lamb that i still remember 12 years later which i never got to replicate again, but i know these whores don't care to hear it
>>22272032I like your creativity. I sometimes add chocolate to my chili. My typical method is to roast poblanos, onions, a potato (to thicken it up), garlic, tomatillos, and tomatoes until caramelized/blistered, the coarsely puree in a food processor. Then in a Dutch oven I'll brown some cubed pork (or chicken, buy I prefer pork), add in the chili puree, and bake in the oven.Eat with cornbread and sour cream.
a bolognese is my favorite, either me or my dad makes it and it's really good, women can't make a good bolognese is my controversial stance
>>22272036I did consider scooping some and and pureeing it and adding it back in but I thought it was already too thick. Never considered potatoes in chili because the beans get the job done but maybe I'll try that
>>22272038Dude, a good tomato sauce can be insane. I tried a whole summer to nail it but I can't get it right. Some tomato sauces I've had are so fucking good and I can't get it. Everyone acts like it's so simple but it's not.
>>22272044no the secret is time, you make your bolognese but add 2-3 hours and you can throw a tomato or two into the mix and it will be sauce by the time it's done, and if you throw nothing down the 3 hour boiling time just makes a bolognese taste better
>>22272048I'm 0% Italian so I'm kind of fucked
>>22272035Good answer though. Speaking of lamb, I had some crazy good lamb neck once.
"Taco Salad"chipotle bowl type situation w seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese, sour cream w\ tortilla chips or tostadas.
>>22272059A girl posting on ck?
>>22272051but you can read, so read what I wrote and do that and stop being a do nothing idiot
while I do have preferences, it's more about the circumstancesthe best food I've ever ate was a tincan of meat up on a mountain
>>22272007a good pot of gumbo
I love slow scrambled eggs with lots of pepper as a garnish and some ham and baked beans on a big pancakeI like lasagnaI like double cheeseburgers (with only ketchip)I like a pint of ice cold milk
>>22272007pot roast.
Pasta carbonara (done properly) is always great. Hard to find guanchale and panchetta out here in rural USA tho. Any time I find some, I stock up.
>>22272241Pecorrino, not panchetta. Sorry, I've had a few drinks
Bean burritos.
>>22272012Maybe you could organize a chili cookoff where you’re one of the judges
>>22272056Are you a lambpire?
>>22272025You're a fucking artist anon.
>>22272007Beans on toast, bruv.
>>22272115I never had me some Gumbo but sometimes mom makes vege chunk soup with buttered bread it is very nice
>>22272059Mmf, so good. I unironically use a Josh Weissman recipe to make this kind of thing
>>22272007Probably chips and salsa. I just made some salsa. Its spicy
To me it's brazilian barbecue and I'm surprised not more people have answered that. Just any barbecue in general e ven
>>22272007Curry>inb4 SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARI'm Italian-American and our cuisine has its moments but Indian food heems most Italian food. Tripe dinner is extremely underrated though by boomers and younger who shit at the thought of organ meat
>>22272007Pizza from just the right spots in NYC or Long Island is probably the perfect food to me. Always hits the spot, can hit every food group, makes you happy while you eat it... dat aroma. dat pizzeria vibe. It's great for celebrating at parties, perfect for just hanging out with homies at home, great gamer fuel, especially in arcades... tied to so much nostalgia and good memories... comes presented in a dope ass box like a wedding ring...Seriously, it's the best all around food. God blessed us all when he created New York and then sprung forth the humble tyrant that is the pizza pie.
>>22273365Which kind? Or just all? For me all Thai curry is the best. So fucking good.
>>22273368The NYC pizza hype just doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather just have Dominos honestly
>>22273359It's insane how easy it is to make a good salsa. My parents feeding us Pace for years was a lie. It's fucking spicy ketchup.
>>22273372Seriously. If I didn't bake the vegetables, the salsa would take like 15 minutes start to finish
>>22272016This question haunts me aswel
>>22273369Indian > Thai >> Japanese, but honestly they're all wonderful
>>22272026t. Garfield
>>22273371>eating real food just doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather just have salted pieces of styrofoam shaped like food, honestly
>>22273372Mass produced salsa's problem is that it's mostly tomatoes. If they cut the tomato content by 75% it'd probably be pretty similar to homemade salsa. I still enjoy it though. It's good in a different way.
fried crap with crap sauce
