I for one have grown to love the supermarket grab-and-go sandwiches. In the last few weeks I've tried roast beef, corned beef, egg & ham salad, chicken schnitty, and this classic chicken salad multiple times now.

For like $5 it's actually good and actually fresh. Is anyone else doing this? They have a whole refrigerated endcap full of good stuff

Ew, no. You're at the store. Just get bread and shit and make your own for so much cheaper and better.
>>

But anon, I work near the shopping centre and have been paying $16 for lunch at all the filthy scam food court places. Now I just go into Coles and get better food for super cheap, and it's faster. These "grab and go" things aren't for grocery shoppers, they're for people grabbing lunch and I'm all for it.

it depends on the store at my kroger these arent bad you can watch the deli workers literally go grab the same ingredients that the store is selling to you so it isnt like theyre using different, cheaper shit. its marked up a bit but not a bad option at all for a work lunch or a grab-and-go

i get some of those bags of discounted expired sandwiches they sell sometimes and don't have any complaints

I don't have a problem with them. Where I live, there are a bunch of ethnic grocery stores that sell their own versions of these sandwiches and sometimes (but not always) they're better. They're utility food.

Come on man...

You're literally better off grabbing a Costco rotisserie chicken
Olive oil mayo
Romaine lettuce
Bacon
Dijon mustard
and 4 baguettes

You can make AT LEAST 4 delicious chicken subs, for probably $7 each..it depends on your ingredient prices there.

Much more food
Much better quality

This. 20 dollars for 4+ greedy sandwiches

For that price you could purchase a Big Mac meal, which you will enjoy much more.

You are ignoring the part where this is food grabbed during a lunch break, not while grocery chopin. This is for people who are going back to work the rest of the day.
>>
>>22277371
I’d get a supermarket sandwich but not just a humble ham and cheese. I’d pick one that would require some kind of preparation to make myself

Look, if OP was in Japan, and grabbin a delicious 7-Eleven egg salad sammy, then I'd say, ok.

BUT, he is clearly not.
>>
>>22277927
those egg salad sandwiches seem like the most popular food item in Japan
