Loading Crew Crafts updated their human Al daki. The fact that they've removed the old design is kind of ehh... I'm glad I got mine when I did. I would get the new one, but I don't think I can justify $70 for a recolor.

From a business perspective, having a bunch of kids swarm your product and call it racist isn't great. As a consumer, even if you're a reasonable person, you're opening yourself up to potential harassment for merch that doesn't even match the canon design. It makes me nervous sometimes when I share my shrine because I have some white human Al on display. Because god forbid I enjoy merch I bought of a popular fan interpretation that Viv herself perpetuated before the canon design was even leaked. I hate this timeline sometimes.

Having a fifth season probably gives them a little more room to actually let the characters interact. Plus Erika was talking about spinoffs a little too, though if they wait for that after the characters have "developed" in the show, I don't think it'll go over too well.

Plus it's older and rarer, as most artists now will make merch of his canon design. It could work, but all it takes is a few bored kids to latch on and call them out for being "racist". It's a bit different for a shop selling new merch compared to a private seller selling a pin on mercari. I don't agree with erasing white Alastor from history, but I can see why a shop would take something like that down. There are artists who get shit on just because they don't draw his hair curly enough, lol.
